OKAY EVERYBODY, GATHER AROUND A CIRCLE AND LISTEN

My name is usually >:D in RO but it turns out someone here already registered that. So I chose HoChiMan instead.

Red Orchestra is a neat game that was originally a mod for Unreal Tournament and then turned into its own game. It focuses on realism, so you won't find much hopping around and running and gunning like in other games. It has a smaller population than say, Counterstrike or Battlefield 2, but the smaller "community" just gives a unique raging experience. They tend to be more mature and there aren't so many thirteen year olds.

Now let us discuss the methods of raging in RO.

1: The Kaukasus trip

On the RO-Kaukasus map, join the Russian team and camp on that one steep cliff. Whenever someone comes down the cliff, sit up right under them so they'll bounce off of you and fall to their death. It's especially effective at the beginning of a match, when they're all going down this cliff at once. Be careful of Germans shooting at you though. The main downside of this method is that it involves a bit of waiting, especially on servers that aren't full. You won't see many people going down the cliff unless the team is defending the Back Route objective.

2: Satchel and team switch

Spawn as a combat engineer (saper/sturmspioneerwhatever). Throw the two satchels at as many teammates as possible, then switch teams just before it explodes. Just make sure you don't hold down the fuse too long or it'll blow up before you can switch.

This is really effective at the beginning of maps, especially the ones with crappy spawn protection.

3: Bashing (and weapon stealing)

This one's neat. It doesn't do mass damage to the team, but it's quite irritating to the victims. Just walk up to a teammate and bash them. It only wounds them and doesn't show up on your score or alert admins. Make sure that the target isn't already damaged and you don't charge the bash, or you might actually kill them.

The great thing about this is how you can knock their weapon out of their hands. Just aim for their hand and shoot or bash (preferably bash since shoot could miss and kill). This is especially good at pissing off snipers because you just got their precious gun.

4: Door blocking

Everyone knows this one.

5: Door closing

Stand near enough to a door so you can open/close it, and whenever a teammate opens it, close it! Simple enough, and it can turn quite funneh. Much confusion results if there are several people, since you can't tell which one is doing it. Sometimes they'll try to toss a nade through the door to kill you, but kill their own teammates instead because it bounces back. >:D

6: Satchel hording

Certain maps have destroyable targets that are needed (or just make it easier) for a team to win. Take Snowyforest, for example. On this map, there's just one saper on the attacking team's side. If you take the saper role and hide in a corner of the map, then they'll start getting pissed because they can't get past the barbed wire. They'll know you're the one with the satchel though, so be careful.

7: Tank tipping

This works on any map with more than one tank on your team. It's most effective if your tank is large, like a tiger or IS-2. Drive your tank into the sides of teammate's tanks at a high speed and it'll push them. If you do it right, you can even tip it over. >:D

It's best if they're in the middle of shooting at an enemy tank, since it ruins their aim. But then you have to watch that enemy doesn't shoot you.

8: Vehicle hijacking.

There are gunner, MGer, and Driver positions in tanks. If someone's in the middle of gunning, just hop in and drive away!

7: Spam!

The classic rage tactic. Just type "say" followed by a bunch of crap, copy it, and paste it into the console over and over again. It has to be console or you can't paste.

Example:

"say GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG"

8: VOIP ruining

Another classic rage technique. I just put headphones to the mic and play something. It's also fun to interrupt people whenever they try to talk.

TIPS ON RAGING RO:

- Most servers have an auto kick after 5 TKs. So unless you have plenty of RAM to load maps (1.5 gigs should do), then you don't want to rage by outright shooting teammates. Creativity not only lets you avoid getting kicked, but it's just better than doing the same old TK. And don't forget to tweak your settings to quicken load times (see their official forums for that).

- Some of the most popular servers in this game are these three 'Right to Rebel' clan servers. They're a fun rage target because the servers are full of experienced players. They also have sexually repressed mods, which means plenty of rage potential during the free week. >:D

In their forums, they show this screenshot:

and said this:

"[myg0t] was a cheating/trouble making clan on purpose during the older CS days and then again in DoD. They are a clan dedicated to asshattery and cheating. If they are making a move into RO, banning everyone appearing with the [myg0t] tag is the best course of action."

So don't use a tag. Tags are ghey anyway.

- Watch carefully! If the chat says, "X has logged in as administrator", then leave the server. There's a 99.9999% chance that you are the reason they just logged in. Unless you're not raging, but then why are you reading this.

Another fucking war game?

WHAT THE FUCK?

ANOTHER FUCKIN WAR GAME THAT EXISTS FOR A LONG ASS TIME NOW?!?!!? OMG!!1

This is probaby the best FPS i have ever played.

And raged.

Btw, am i the only one who noticed the typo on the steam advert? "DEC 7nd"

I did a bit of raging on that game.. like, start driving a tank when someones shooting the gun on it then they start screaming on mic at me to stop :naughtyd:
after my initial (and only) 20 seconds of playing this game, I don't know what the developers were thinking. The world has ENOUGH fucking WWII games. IT DOESN'T NEED ANOTHER ONE!!!

This game is way too easy to rage.

Its also way too boring TOO rage.
