It's an autoimmune disease where the alpha cells of the pancreas get destroyed so insulin isn't produced anymore and it's usually congenital. Type II on the other hand, is the one that "fat fucks" usually get. "Neuropeptides," or neurotransmitters, have been known to play some role in diabetes but it was never really understood what they did. That's why I'm still skeptical about this latest discovery. If this holds true for humans, then wow!
