Posted December 21, 200618 yr yesterday, seeing as i dont have my computer to charge my ipod, i plugged it into my sisters computer... After getting it back fully charged, i look thru it Main menu -> music -> artists all my music isnt showing up, but when i look at the settings it says the music is there. does anyone know how to fix this? i just want my music to show up, for i have 4000 songs on there and not all of them are backed up and dont want to go through the trouble of finding them again.
December 21, 200618 yr It might have backed up on to your sisters itunes if she has it, and replaced your 4000 songs w/ her blank library? Try resetting the ipod and see if it changes. hold down menu and the center button untill the apple logo comes up

December 21, 200618 yr that might be why.. my ipod is all fucked up and when i connect , if it doesnt freeze my computer it will say its corrupt and i have like 1000 songs that arent backed up and another 1000 that are. I dont feel like losing them either. ipods piss me off

December 21, 200618 yr is it a 20 gig by chance w/ out the color screen just black and white? because they had all kinds of problems with those (thats the kind i have too) and if its still under warranty I think send you a ipod photo not video for free.

Unless : - You reset the ipods and it all comes back(hold center for 5 seconds) - A miracle This normaly happens during a pc will shutdown with it plugged in. To fix it, you can also possibly mount it with ephpod then it might start working again. I figure your using a windows OS and not Unix/Mac OS? Windows could also be your problem. What might happen with windows : You disconnect the ipod while running itunes and the files havent written, causes half written files or improperly writes them. To fix this problem, get another os(anything but windows) because all the others write to disk right away.
