Posted December 21, 200618 yr K what would you prefer? I just got a version of Vista, and i really want to try it out. But i also have a copy of 64. Then the plain old 32bit. Ive only ever used the 32 bit and i was thinking of formatting my C drive (since all my games etc are on a different part) So for those of you who have tried 1, 2 or even all 3 which do you prefer to use?
December 22, 200618 yr Probably a good idea to stay with your 32bit windows for a while untill more programs work with 64bit windows.
December 22, 200618 yr If you have a 64Bit processor i would go with 64bit, since all vista has been re-wrote so 64bit runs faster. Unlike windows XP 64 which was a pile of shit. If you dont have a 64bit processor then you can only use 32bit Also pm me the link if its the final?

A 64 bit proc also allows faster execution of the instructions sent to it, showing another plus if you have an x64 proc. BUT Despite the advantages of an x64 OS like Vista including more virtual and physical memory as well as a quicker overall OS, especially the interface (both xp and vista x64 are dedicated toward power users), the x86 version actually runs 32 bit programs faster since the OS is designed to run programs of that bit. the x64 on the other hand can run 64 bit progs quick because that was what the OS was designed to do. Thier is jsut extra code in thier to run 32 bit progs, which it runs slower than the 32 bit Vista OS, because it'll be awhile before we migrate to primarily 64 bit programs. I would suggest like Bisdale said to wait for more 64 bit progs to be released before you migrate to the x64 bit OS. (Adobe is in the works of making photoshop 64 bit)
December 23, 200618 yr Author I didnt even notice it until i actually burned it. but its the 32bit version of vista. And i dont think there is a final release yet is there? I usually just use demonoid since its private and less bullshit. The one i have is build 5744 but i just looked on there and they had one : Windows Vista Ultimate 32bit (x86) Final-Retail- English DVD If thats what you're wanting but cant use demonoid then PM and ill send you an invite.
December 25, 200618 yr that's the one i d/led too. the only x64 one out is in spanish, i think. haven't chekced in awhile.
