December 28, 200618 yr What do i need to know about getting a new one? So you want to keep your old setup and just get a motherboard? Ask yourself: Is your CPU supported on the new one? Is it PCI-E or AGP, is my GPU PCI-E or AGP? How many RAM slots do I need, what kind of RAM is supported? Basically make sure everything is compatable.

December 29, 200618 yr If your wondering about what brand to choose, you should go for "Asus", best motherboards that I've ever used. http://www.asus.com/products2.aspx?l1=3&l2=117 Check the compatibility of the motherboards. ASUS are fucking terrible, Ive had 3 of thier boards, not a good thing to say other than they have good onboard Audio. Buy maybe youve had abetter experience. DFI Lanparty series are the best boards, for compatability, speed, looks and overclocking potential. Also find out what socket your CPU is.. S939, AM2, S754 etc, and then find a motherboard that uses the same Chipset.
