I've got an MX518 which is like $20 now; the performance is pretty good, but the real value is the sensitivity adjustment buttons. You can make it more or less sensitive for things like turrets/sniping/piloting in Battlefield games, and it's just helpful in general when you're doing precise work.

January 6, 200718 yr I would invest in a good headset if I were you. If you decide to splurge on a keyboard, I suggest the G15 by Logitech, Best Buy has it for 69.99. The G keys can be useful for setting things like buying your weapons in CSS or having multiple text spam macros at the touch of a key. The LCD screen doesnt tell you much you cant already see on your screen, though the date/time is always nice. However you can download extra things for it, such as live weather feeds or profiles that keep a history of all your kills/deaths with each weapon in css or other crap. If you decide to splurge on a mouse I don't have any real suggestions. I got a Razer Copperhead for Christmas that serves me well, and although the technical features and software for the Copperhead are top notch, the ergonomics are slightly off since it is for lefties or righties, and seems a bit big for my hand. If you are right-handed I would probably go with Logitech's G5, but thats a matter of preference.
