Posted January 15, 200718 yr ok so i got this cheap computer that was loaded with ads and worthless shit. i want to do a reinstall of it with a normal xp disc (media centre). so i looked on the hp/compaq site for drivers. this is all i found http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/product?product=3300335&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&submit.y=6&submit.x=7&lang=en&cc=us no video, sound, network etc drivers. now if i did a reinstall im guessing the devices would not work :( if i ordered a disc from them would it come with all the ad ware?

January 15, 200718 yr Download DriverKit, or Driver Detective, it tells you what drivers you need to install, and gives you a link to the download.
January 15, 200718 yr http://www.majorgeeks.com get AIDA32 (works decently, not sure how good it is compared to the other sites). If you know the compaq specific model number and if it's all original you can download everything you need (the number on my all compaq was on the bright red system spec sticker on the case)
