It was around May 2005 when the forums underwent a huge change, language filters were placed, warez was cracked down on, and overall things were tightened up. A lot of people were pissed about all of this, but guess what, we all got used to it. Its just not our forum. You should be glad that the administration of myg0t allows us to use their bandwidth. So therefore you shouldn't be complaining about the features that aren't in place and be happy about the ones that you have.

I do remember all of it, I was actually around in 2004 as well I just didn't like my name and changed it in Feb of 2005. Still I think the myg0t forums are growing and actually starting to mature a bit(seriously). Now there is vast room for improvement still but I think the head g0ts should really take this into heavy consideration. I think myg0t should be a closer community instead of looking at it as "g0ts and us". g0ts are no better than me even in their own forum. I think we deserve a little more. We as a community have to prove our worth and trust worthiness with all of it though.

The search feature is given to g0ts only because of the amount of system resources used multiplied by how many people use it and how often. myg0t has been around for a decade, I'm sure these issues were brought up a bajillion times since then. It's cool you want to help make things easier around here, but IMHO those changes are unneeded, as 80% of the forums don't rage, 95% don't idle IRC, and 90% of each of those numbers just troll and read threads all day.

I'm quite content without a search feature and a 'Todays posts' list. I've learned to deal without these. Besides, if I ever REALLY need to find something I either ask a g0t to search it for me (With pleases and sugar on top of course :P ) or use my friends bot crawler to crawl the website and search its results.

I also think this proves that g0t's aren't unreasonable people. It also proves that if you speak up once and awhile in a reasonable way you may get change(for the better).
