February 9, 200718 yr i have a few questions on some bullshit assignment for environmental science and was wondering if anyone knew the answers off hand or could direct me to a site which will explain. its fucking bullshit because the instuctors never went over any of this shit and it isnt in the text, anyways here are a few i dunno.. 1. Write the equations for photosynthesis and respiration. 2. Why do cells (whether animal, plant, protozoan, or microbial) need to respire? What energy source do they use? 3. Determine if photosynthesis and respiration are endothermic or exothermic chemical reactions and support your answer. 4. Based on your answer to question three: Would you expect that elodea plants would gain weight, lose weight, or not change in weight if you placed them in the dark for a few days? What does this tell you about why plant seeds typically have significant amounts of starch stored inside? 5.
