BUMPED FOR JUSTICE AND SUPPORT

rifk, totally.

Marriage is the joining of two souls in a holy (religious) relationship.

It's not a family orientated contract, it's a religious pact between two people.

In that respect, there is no grounds to stop gays marrying.

On the other hand, Catholicism and Christianity traditionally do not support homosexuality, so for a homosexual to claim affiliation with either religion is akin to a person claiming affiliation with a gang that does not want or accept them as a member, based on their not being eligible for specific reasons.

If a person cannot be a Christian or Catholic, they cannot be married under the laws of God, just as a person cannot have an initiation into a gang that they cannot join.

Some Churches have created their own forms of religion that accept homosexuality, however this is like creating your own gang after being denied access to the one you truly wanted to join. It's their own version ripped off from the original, and tweaked to their liking, as though they are God and they make the rules.

They are fighting for their right to be religiously accepted doing something that is against God's laws, as laid out thousands of years ago and mostly accepted still today.

Pure hypocrisy.

Anyway, I'm an Atheist, so I don't really care if they want to make up their own religious rules. I just don't think religion should be used as a legal or financial tool of benefit.

I say keep marriage as a religious ceremony between religious men and women, remove it from the legal system.

I'll never marry, because I don't believe in any God.
