March 5, 200718 yr Author Yeah if he was still alive at that point moving him was a bad idea. This video is a perfect example of why you should always use the right tool for the job. A chainsaw could have easily prevented this. They could have notched the pole and controlled where it fell. Instead they just wait for a break in traffic, then crack it with a loader... The guy also should have never taken his eyes off the pole. The supervisor and the other guy keep watching it as the loader starts to crack it, but that guy just turns his back and starts walking away. That's just asking for trouble. I did road works for a year and a half, and construction for 2. Safety is EVERYTHING. These guys broke so many rules it doesn't shock me at all that something like this happend.

March 6, 200718 yr to be honest they should of tied ropes to the top of the pole with 3/4 men holding onto the ropes so they could control the landing
