Posted March 11, 200718 yr Yesterday I was hacking in cs 1.6 when I loaded a new map and all of a sudden the game froze on "Parsing Game Info". I closed the game down and tried again without the hack and the same thing happened. The only thing that seemed to fix the problem was to delete every file in the counter-strike folder and then do a fresh install. This fixed the problem, but about an hour after I started playing again the same thing happened and I froze on "Parsing Game Info" (I wasn't using hacks). Can somebody help me fix this problem? :dunno:

March 25, 200718 yr maybe a corrupted server download? Deleting your cstrike folder should fix this and from what you said it appeared to do so. try again and if you can remember what server you first joined before getting the problem, then avoid it. Doesn't make much sence but i had a similar problem and it seemed to work.

He is right, same thing that happened to me...It is the hacks you are using. Download hacks / SCAN THEM / and ownt.....98% of the hax u find on the net have virus on them. either the source or d loader...get rid of them quickly before u crash ur computer...my comp crash and i had to buy a new one....i even tried rebooting it....dont work either.
