March 13, 200718 yr when you record the stuff just edit it so that its really slow. http://forums.facepunchstudios.com/images/smilies/emot-geno.png
March 14, 200718 yr some times people sound normal and some times people have really high picthed voices. I think it has to also do with the mic's that people use.
March 14, 200718 yr It's playing them at 2x speed, duh. They probably doubled the bitrate that sound recordings are stored/played at, hence the general increase in quality. Just need to reencode you wavs at the new settings, whatever they are.
March 14, 200718 yr can anyone post the script for me? i lost it. http://forums.myg0t.com/showthread.php?t=16937
March 14, 200718 yr http://hlss.us/ The new Steam update for the Source engine has been released! Now you can play .wav files over the microphone with good quality in Source based games! However, you must re-convert your sounds differently than you did before in order for them to play correctly, or they will sound fast-paced. I would recommend converting the ORIGINAL file instead of .wavs that you had already converted in the past, or you might experience problems with quality. I have updated the site tutorials and articles to accommodate the new codec. Click here to participate in our thread about this new patch. The new settings you must use when playing .wavs in all Source mods are: 16 Bit (CD) | 11025Hz | 1 'Mono' Have fun! And thank you VALVe for finally fixing the mic quality in Source games! PS: After several tests, I recommend to reduce bass instead of volume for more clearly sounds.
March 15, 200718 yr At guys who couldn't figure out how to fix voiceannoys by themselve: Ownt by steam lolololol
March 16, 200718 yr 16 Bit (CD) | 11025Hz | 1 'Mono' yes, this works perfectly. Make sure you reconvert the source files like it says, not the old wavs. I had problems when i converted the old wavs.
March 16, 200718 yr I haven't had a chance to see/hear the new chat system, I hope it's as good as you guys have been hyping it up to be.
