Posted March 13, 200718 yr It seems a little strange but... Whilst playing Counter-Strike or Counter-Strike: Source my mic has this loud rumbling windy sound... Now again i'm not complaining due to anoyingness but then again I wish i could get it better because since then i've noticed it's there alot. Any help? I googled mic quality and i found somthing that said about boost and gain. I switched um up but it didn't do much... Halp?
March 13, 200718 yr If you're using a voice annoy it has nothing to do with your mic. Since it is playing from a file it should always come through crystal clear, unless the server doesn't have Speex for 1.6 or that new one for Source. However, if you're playing sounds and holding your mic to your speaker (Ghetto voice annoy, but fun) then it's probably just your fan or something. Then again, it might be your mic, but I've never heard of a problem like this being related to the mic when using HLSS.
