March 26, 200718 yr great game. cant play it like half life though, you go in guns ablzin like in CS or some other bs fps youll die. in stalker, using cover, and aiming is highly rewarded. in short, don't play this game like hl and youll be fine. and im pretty sure dynamix lighting is bugged in this game, there is a fix somewhere i believe... so turn it off and pump the other settings first.
March 27, 200718 yr i downloaded this game before it was out in the USA from a russian ware torrent =D game is leet sekz, the dev team even left it so that if you dont enter a cd key it will still let you install you just cant play online =D game gets 9 of 10 stars, and its better crack rocks than that WoW bs monthly payments my cunt ass nut:bj: ps: i have a dual-core amd 4400+ 2 gigs of ram and and im too trashed to know what my uber vid card is called, but thats ok anyway my dynamic lighting is fantastic, but perhapse on lower systems it is glitchy.
March 27, 200718 yr Running it on all max settings now with full dynamic lighting w/o AA. Have to reduce my res to 1024x768, which basically fucks me right off but at least then i get 60+ fps constant. Reminds me of the good old days of playing things at 640x480 just to run them.

March 27, 200718 yr I just uninstalled it. Got both real endings. Good game, but I probably won't touch it again for years.
March 27, 200718 yr It's a tight game if you can get into it. At first, you're going to be like "wtf these guns r all shit and i keep gettin killd", but it gets MUCH better after you progress a little bit and get some decent weapons and armor. It's not much of an RPG though. No real way to increase stats, except for using different gear and artifacts. That's really gay though, cause it's pretty much all passive upgrades, like "Rupture damage -5%" and shit. You don't really notice that stuff in a firefight. Things that piss me off, though: - Animations are total shit. Mutant dogs run in circles, people walk up steep hills without trouble, etc. - Very low weight limit. You can carry 50kg fine, but go a hundred grams over, and suddenly your stamina drops like you're a fat little asthmatic schoolboy. Over 60kg and you can't move. - Vehicles are removed from the game. You'll have to hoof it from place to place. I guess the code was left in though, so there is hope for a mod. - Unscripted AI can fuck up your missions. For example, if you have to fend off some bandits then go meet some guy, there's a fair chance the bandits will just run over and gangrape him before you can talk to him, regardless of your actions. Still a very good game, though. The torrents are fast, so it's worth your bandwidth.
March 27, 200718 yr I agree with most of your points. I did notice the suit upgrades and the stamina upgrades were nice (artifacts). The game does suffer some terrible shortcomings. I know I would never have made it to the end if I hadn't started going for headshots 24/7. It was fun though.

You can now trade guns with most stalkers. Money is now an Integral part of the game, which is cool. The AI is much better tbh, and bullet reg and damage is tweaked. (for the better +dmg +accuracy) Overall its a sweet patch. Yeah you lose your save games, but fuck who cares when the game is different next time you play it anyway.
