The last year the state required "Alabama History" was the year I had to take it. So yes, we did have to take it, but now we don't.

Did you have to take a history course in school for the history of your state? In other words, a course called History of Illinois, or History of Alabama, or History of Texas, etc., etc. I did not, but I have heard that such classes existed, and thought that these must be extremely uninteresting classes, considering the lack of events within each state throughout the US's existence.

 

Post if you had to and which state you live in.
