Valve was hacked by MaddoxX from No-Steam. Apparently Valve hasn't admitted to being hacked and they are deleting any threads made about it on the Steam forums. It is unknown whether or not the Credit Card's taken during this inflitration into Valve are from all users or just the cafe users.

Valve has finally responded to the claims of being hacked. They state that it was not Steam itself that was hacked but a server that manages the Cyber Cafe program. Here is Valves response:

 

"The alleged hacker gained access to a third-party site that Valve uses to manage the commercial partners in its Cyber Café program. This Cyber Café billing system is not connected to Steam. We are working with law enforcement agencies on this matter, and encourage anyone with more information to e-mail us at [email protected]."

If they were hacked and customers private information as well as credit card information was exposed then Valve is doing a huge disservice to it's customers by not issuing a statement. A company should inform their customers immediately anytime sensitive data like this is hacked into. This allows customers to take the necessary steps to protect themselves, such as canceling their credit cards. To pretend that something like this never occurred is very dishonest of a company.

Not only that but in the USA its illegal to not disclose to consumers when their information may have been compromised. I am sure valve is very aware of that and also based on the fact that this guy is doing nothing but bragging about it anyway and sort of daring valve to come after him I am willing to be he is exaggerating it at least a little. If he did infact get access to customers info Valve could be in a load of shit for not admitting to it.

Well the first one, is just their whole website (all their files), yet that can be obtained pretty easily if you know what you are doing. So it's just a bunch of php files that are completely useless, now if you got a hold of their forum php files, damage can be done, however I'm not sure if that is included in that .rar file.

 

As for the 3 other files I have no idea what those are because for some reason I couldn't extract them, oh well.
