Posted September 15, 200321 yr Yup, yours truely hit his first deer! my car is totalled... but.. the sound of deer exploding on impact was well worth it. i got pics, ill post em when i get the film developed... it was sweet! doin 45 on a back road... see deer... /me accellerates. ...10 seconds later <<BAM>>. i got a fractured wrist, and bruised ribs.. but damn.. if only you coulda seen it. FANTASTIC!

September 15, 200321 yr <shrugs> better than paying $16 a pound for decent cuts of porterhouse :) Hell, man, I can buy a whole cow (yearling) and have it butchered properly for under a grand, and have all the beef I need for under a year...it's that or spend close to $600 every two weeks on groceries so I can eat the way I want (family I'm feeding, not just me) As is, between fishing, crabbing, hunting, and buying a cow and a couple pigs every year, I spend MAYBE $125 every two weeks on groceries for my family...mostly on spices and produce...leaves me a helluvalot more "loose cash" to spend on my car, my motorbikes, and my boat....works for me :) Besides...if I'm out hunting or fishing, I'm not where my wife can nag at me :)
