Revolution is a great way to get a point across even if it gets repelled by the armed forces. Though you could look at how well your armed forces are faring against an insurgency in Iraq and then think of an even bigger and further spread out insurgency in the US, it wouldn't be as easy as you might think. The real reason why a revolution wont happen is because politics is all about manipulating people and making them believe that they dont need to know whats going on and making people accept the slow change.
