A proxy in utorrent really only hides your ip from being detected by the tracker who can report you to the ISP, so its a good idea to get in the habit of doing that if darkraven's ISP ever stops monitoring him. YEah i fucked up big time, thanks to anyone who corrected me
June 13, 200717 yr Get roadrunnner....those guys don't give a shite what you do...I get all my school material and pr0n all day and it don't matter...I just torrent everything and they can't do jack shit about it!

June 17, 200717 yr Ever heard of them? They are these nice little things that mask your IP... and stuff... while downloading.

Say that you dont like your traffic being monitored and if they do it again you will take your buisness elsewere. Most isp dont give a shit, they just want your money. (the more you download, the more money they get.)

For doing things well in their rights and terms of services that this dumb fgt signed to? He's lucky he got off with a warning, if he did that, they could just say fuck you, and report him to teh popo, he broke the fucking law you retard. Your logic is flawed.

There are sooooo many internet providers in Australia, I would seriously just change isp. This would solve your problem. Quote he broke the fucking law you retard. July 7, 200717 yr nope. why have traffic police if there are larger drug barrens to fry? if we followed your theory all we would have were SWAT and SAS.
August 27, 200717 yr Quit downloading while your ahead. I too had to go cold turkey...until i found out people post everything in rapidshare links!!! They cant trace that shit as far as i know. Torrents and p2p are old news. Filehosting sites are the shizz net.
August 28, 200717 yr ALL OF YOU ARE RETARDS, YOU CANT HIDE YOUR IP FROM YOUR ISP, UNLESS YOU SPOOF YOUR ISP, I HAVE COMCAST AND I SPOOF AS ATAT DSL IT IS LOLZ

September 12, 200717 yr I have Charter, I hate it but they don't check for piracy often. I did get caught for dling Deuce bigalow once. That's the only time I've gotten a warning. Quest here NEVER checks shit. Friend of mine always has eMule going and BC going.

September 15, 200717 yr was having problems with my isp before for torrents, using encryption now with utorrent and that seems to work fine :>
September 15, 200717 yr Author update Well, I called up my ISP (B.T) to ask why I was kicked off my connection, and they said it was because we was breaking their rules.. fair enough we was.. Then they told me we was getting an 'official warning letter' sent to us.. 2/3 months later, still nothing. I think it was bs, and they only scared us cause we was using tons of bandwidth, but whatever, they havent bothered laying the rules down hard enough so stop me, so i'll do whatever i want until they do.
October 8, 200717 yr I work for an ISP, so let me set some of you kids straight, ok? Your ISP is the first point of contact you have with the internet. Without connecting to your ISP, you have no internet. This means your ISP knows EXACTLY who you are, where you are, what your IP is, what types of traffic you are down/uploading, what IPs you are accessing, how much you are doing, how fast your connection should be limited to, whether your modem is currently plugged in correctly and switched on, and whether or not it is configured with the right un/pw or not. Now, this means you can't do shit to hide from them- it's all running through their servers and unless you're encrypting everything you send, then it's all there for them to see. Trust me, you aren't encrypting everything, no matter how leet you think you are. So don't even think of saying you are because that would be absurd. As for "monitoring" you, they are probably doing their equivalent of what we call a "cease and desist" order, which means you've been snapped and it has been reported to your ISP. They've been told "Stop this punk", so they're doing their job by telling you to stop. If you continue, you get assfucked, because the ISP isn't going to stand up for your rights as a citizen to steal music and you've already been warned. I say stop it, change ISPs, change ALL your downloading programs, and start afresh, because you're one step away from being in court and nobody will come out to bat for you. Trust me, I see it happen every week.
