Posted June 7, 200717 yr You can let this die, delete or move if you feel like it. Just thought id get a quicker answer in general forums. Everytime i burn a CD, with Winamp, Windows MP or anything and i try to rip it back on my PC then it wont display the names or anything (even if i try to "retrieve" the album info) so i have to look them up and edit them. Is there a way around this? Thanks!
June 7, 200717 yr This won't work for a very good reason, when something's album info is looked up it takes the number of tracks and track length and looks it up in an online database. When you burn tracks to a CD you are essentially creating a whole new CD with different information that doesn't match anything online. Therefore, your album info is not displayed.

Therefore, your album info is not displayed. :liar: It recognizes the CD by what its title shows up as in C:, but you're still right because the one he burns will have a different title. HOWEVER, if you burn an mp3 CD then the data will retain the song name and artist information when you put it back on your computer.
