Opinions please, I thought it was a shit gimmick but I don't own one so can't judge and some people say it is good (better than the 360 and PS3). I'm not considering getting one I just wondered if it was any good.
I've played one and their very entertaining, graphics arn't all that obviously, but i was enjoying boxing and tennis.
Yeah the graphics aren't anything special but Zelda's have a sort of charm to them! I've only played Zelda but It was ridiculously fun. I was high at the time but I think it would be fun regardless.

zelda is the only game worth a shit at the moment.

wait for super smash bros brawl, metroid 3, and super mario galaxy, then go ahead and buy one.

late thread is laaaaate

Not realy consoles can develop as new games come out for them. I was asking what it is like now after its been released for a while and some games are out for it.

Fun for getting high/drunk and playing with friends. Break out the Mario Party 8 and someone will be murdered, I guarantee it.
mario party 8 blows. super paper mario is pretty rediculous, and wii sports is entertaining. the games like call of duty can get kind of annoying having to use the motion detection but its not as bad as i thought it would be. hope this helps.
Its pretty fun, I got bored of mine and I dont play it anymore.. but I hear other people still play it constantly

I bought a Wii...fuckin rocks.

Legends of Zelda: Twilight Princess is the shit. You actually fish and paddle and shit like that.

Also bought Call of Duty:3 Good game much more fun actually aiming at your target.

But truthfully the graphics are not as good as PS3 or Xbox. But they are pretty damn good for a Nintendo. And 99% of the time you do not notice because you're too busy with the Remote and Nunchuck.

Rating I give it over all...89/100

I enjoy mine quite a bit so far. I seem to enjoy the fact unlike all the recent consoles of the last 10 yrs, this thing is actually not just trying to be PC and actually gives me something my PC doesn't. I also enjoy the virtual console and how it's got all these classic games I grew up on. My only beef with the VC is the lack of online multiplayer. I really feel Nintendo is missing a huge oppertunity to make some tweaks to these games to allow you to play with or against others online. XBOX360 Live does this with some classic games like Street Fighter 2 Turbo, so it can be done. Nintendo is dropping the ball on this so far. Could change in the future.

As for the Wii games themselves, they have been lacking but slowly getting better. Wii sports still probably the best game for it IMO. There are a few other good ones like Zelda (bit too easy tho), the new Paper Mario, Res Evil 4 remake (only 29 dollars brand new). Mario Strikers comes out soon, which has online play and is suppose to be pretty fun. EA has every sports game in the works for Wii release this year, all using the motion controls, so this could be a huge boost, as sports games so far have proven to use the motion controls the best.

You also have the back catalog of Gamecube games that can be found used for like 5-15 dollars and has some really good games. I've bought quite a few that were really good games that were on a not so popular system, great fun for only a few dollars.

Biggest bonus to this system is getting my wife to play.

QFT

and then add on top of that the console was only $250....where as PS3 and 360 were twice or more then that.

They're decently fun to play. However I've had 10x more fun playing guitar Hero on 360 then all games put together on the wii.
