I fucking love the type of job you described capslock. Anything beats fuckin service departments and having to talk to people, especially when someone isn't satisfied. Retail jobs in general are the shittiest jobs in the developed world.

/nod, worked in a shoe shop... I had a party the day I quit.. Not even joking.

So I had to move a shitload of diapers, tampons, deodorant and hair products today off to a different storage area, catalogue every single item and then pile them up onto their storage areas, took about 3 hours. My feet don't hurt nearly as much as yesterday tho. :happysad:

At least I get a day off tomorrow! :facesj: (I'm a part timer btw)

I just got my first job working as a steward at Zellers (similar chain to wal-mart but smaller and less gay). My job is to lay out stock for the night shifters, do carry outs and organize stock in the back room. I'm on my feet for 7 hours straight, and only get a 15 min and 30 min break, my feet are fucking killing me. Is this something that comes with being new to being on my feet so long, or should I invest in some REALLY comfy shoes?

BTW - Steel toed shoes are mandatory in the back room

i have a similar job, you'll get used to it, after a week you'll be all good. you'll love sitting around on a computer that much more when you are used to standing for 8 hours a day. give it a week and you'll be all good, dont be a pussy

lol i work for ADT Security Systems...i hate my job(life) sometimes also...especially during the summer cus we have to run the wires for peoples systems in the attics...its only like 140 degrees up in that bitch. i live in the sunshine state...fucking sun..

1) learn crp and become lifeguard, sit on your ass all day at beaches eating POPSICLES (preferably orange ones)

OR

1) get job in government and work for a couple years really well

2) goto therapist and say your too depressed and can't work, and afterwards say the drugs don't help you get normal

3) collect the disability check for the rest of your life and sit at home (eating Popsicles)

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

and your job is what, may i ask?

well its not a fulltime job but this week i was up a ladder changing boards on

the side of a house or standing on the bottom step so they didnt slip while

someone else was up it. i also stood on a plank with a rusty nail sticking out of

it, luckily it didnt break the skin but it still fucking hurt, i also got hit by one of

these:

and it left a 2 inch line of tiny cuts, hurt.

oh, and i hit my thumb with a hammer, banged my head a few times, got bits of

dirt and rotten wood in my eyes, neerly vomited from the smell of a dog's

breathe while i was eating heavily over buttered toast, burned my self with

coffee, trapped my fingers under a heavy ass piece of wood, etc etc

"burned my self with coffee"

lmao your going on about how your own stupidity is making the job tough, not the job itself... i mean standing at the bottom of a ladder and hold it? you can't fuck that up.

thats like saying, 'yeah i work in a office, its really tough, i always run out of water, my ass hurts, i got a 1inch paper cut, i tripped and hurt myself one day, etc etc'
