July 22, 200717 yr Sony is losing pretty much all exclusive titles... soon to lose final fantasy and metal gear solid. I much prefer the whole 360 game play and xbox live is amazing... also halo 3/gears of war :)

Taking $4000 with me and I want to get a guitar and a console whilst im over. Thing is, over here, the margins between PS3 and Xbox 360 prices are incredibly large but in the US the difference between the XBOX 360 elite and the PS3 is $20. So why not get a PS3? I really cant decide! I need some proper proof before I spend money! GTA4 is coming for both, but the PS3 will have more content due to the BLU-ray discs and the 360 has to make cuts to thier game. Damn, i just dont know..

Where are you seeing Ps3's for 20$ more than a 360? Cheapest ive seen a Ps3 is 500$ and about 260 to 280 for cheapest 360.

I was basing my prices from bestbuy.com PS3 Xbox 360 Elite I wasnt looking for the cheapest prices, just average retail price of 360elite and PS3. Still no one can shed light on which I should go for.

July 24, 200717 yr 360 for the following reasons: - Larger games library - Many top notch games - Great online play - Sony are jackasses - Blu-ray is ahead of the current market, so is not used to such a great degree of potential - PS3 is too expensive for what you will actually get out of it - PS3 has no rumble feature, a minor point but it does indeed make more of a difference to gameplay then you'd think - The 360 has many great-looking titles lined up such as Assassin's Creed, Bioshock and GTA4, the latter of which decreasing the reason for buying a PS3 However, consider these points: - The 360 has a lame failure rate; approx 1/3 of people asked in a survey have had hardware failures, HOWEVER the hardware has been constantly improved over time so failure rate has in turn decreased - 360 is older than the PS3 so naturally the games library will not be as great, for example when the 360 first came out the titles were pretty standard - Lots of the most famous game series such as the GTA series are now being brought to the 360, so there is no longer a need to get a PS3 if you are a fan of such series. As for skipping both and getting a PC, to actually buy the hardware to run the games that the 360 and PS3 do at such levels of performance, you would be looking at a larger price than for a console (granted that the PC is much more versatile than consoles, but staying on the subject of gaming).
