both are bad. i used to play gw and it was bad, i never played wow because its just fucking terrible

One reason why guild wars is better. I don;t want to pay an extra 10 dollars a month to play it. I like ham and penis, thanks lord for blessing me with the power to understand the difference. Hail the king, good bread is worth a million.

ive played both and here are my opinions

 

GW: MUCH more story driven than WoW

More skill based PvP

requires more tactics on how you want to plan a fight

prettier

Wont make you pay $10 a month

expansions realy liven things up

 

WoW: Much larger

more styalised

much larger way to customise your character with gear etc.

has mounts

can jump (realy annoying in GW)

can explore more

has a longer life and more replability in different classes

instances more fun

PvP OK but not as good as GW

raids and large instances kick fucking ass

 

 

 

 

thats just t3h facts but make your own desision on what you find more fun. or buy both.

this is like comparing zelda and street fighter imo (or even less drastic, pokemon)

 

GW has shit PvE, the PvP is pretty excellent

 

WoW has great PvE, the PvP is pretty craptastic

 

GW has no monthly subscription

 

WoW has more people

 

GW is more team based (a team is required for pretty much everything)

 

WoW has a better flowing world

 

That said, Ultima Online had the best PvP of any online game I've ever played, go play that for free imo. It's basically you vs. everyone else, it pretty much rwns.
