I wasn't sure myself, now I am 89% sure at least...try it out. I have fixed this. with it vac2 secured servers are ready for you to play, banned or not. Just in case it has any effect, i cut and pasted vac.dll vacuum.dll and vac.dll from steamapps and c:\program files\valve\steam\steam.dll (tho I highly doubt its useful) Next to your name, you'll see "Steam_0_0: XXXXXX" 1) Get Cheat Engine version 5.3 2) Find out your steam id using this http://www.opencoding.net/SteamIdFinder.zip 3) Open Steam.exe in cheat engine search for 4 byte value which is your STEAM ID# something like 43272 4) Cheat Engine will return like 7 addresses Click the red arrow and add them all to the bottom list 5) now select all the bottom list click the first one and hold SHIFT and press END 6) right click -->change record-->value 5987435 (type some gibberish thats not too long) 7) now right click-->freeze all addresses in this list 8) -->open counterstrike from steam 9) try to join a server using the method below.. between the equal signs.. =================================== AFter completing the above you now just need to connect to the server and enjoy. you will need to complete these quick steps each time you want to run steam...until someone releases a c++ .dll or macro for this...(dynamic values ... and css crashed when i tried to find address for it...) ==================================== Well correct me if I'm wrong but :) ..tried many times and works. 1. Load Steam, login with your banned account. 2. right click a VAC secured game and get the ip 3. type ~ and console opens 4. type connect (the ip you saved) 5. enjoy accessing a vac secured server even though you are banned (once it succesfully connects to the vac secure server you may use the same approach on different servers. If for some reason this fails, close hl2.exe or whatever game and then re-open it from steam and try again). Now connect to servers using the method below and enjoy. (an alternate way, for programmers and skilled people, is to find a memory value for disable servers and enable it perhaps, or to disable the game run in disabled mode, or to NOP the function that kicks you out if you are vac2 banned, or change your steam id.[i tried memory based, didnt go so great]) for people in this situation. so now that you're back on vac2 secured servers just remember 1) Xsoulz own all. http://xsouls.tk http://xsoulchat.tk and um a $1 donation by paypal would be great lol and 2)

If I figured this right, Cheat Engine changes the Steam ID value. And since server bans (as well as VAC bans) go by the ID... It'd be very very useful if my accounts were simply VAC or server banned...instead of outright disabled from logging into Steam at all.

I thought they only did that for account fraud and chargebacks.

August 25, 200717 yr Ouch. I guess your raging was a tad extreme for some. I did a lot of shit in RO, too, and the most I've ever got was a permanent ban from a couple of servers. Go and rage CSS, that game is far more easier to rage. Lots of servers with no admins, little kids who get pissed off easily, etc. Don't despair, this game is fairly cheap anyways, get yourself another copy and rejoin the action.

October 16, 200717 yr i due to a steam account / ban error, had a 1.6 account that was flagged as banned, but could join all secure servers, and i wouldnt get banned again for the same cheats. so it was awsome, till i had the BRIGHT idea of buying hl2 so i could test this on hl2 servers, as soon as i reged it or w/e the fuckin whole thing was banned again, with no access to secure servers. what a waste huh?

January 12, 200817 yr we need something around DISABLED accounts, i got 3 of my accounts all banned 4 days ago, turns out if you use the name "VAC2 Moderator" in steam friends, they disable your account...
January 19, 200817 yr yeah i learned that one recently, good thing i used it on a blank account and it was STEAM Automated Account Verrification, spelled with a typo in verrification to get past the filter and the half life symbol as the A in steam xD this thread should be closed because editing clientside steam id doesnt effect server side anything and therefor does NOT WORK
January 30, 200817 yr Since everyone seems to be oblivious as to how to get around VAC2, i'll just give my old method that i used to use, but don't any more since i found a better way. This method still works however and will be difficult for Valve to patch. You need to first download EngCanster (v2.7 cause v2.6 has a bug that stops us). It more or less operates under the concept of packet forging. I'll just tell you how to use it. 1.) Close steam.exe if you have it open and open Canster.exe 2.) Under options click "connections" and setup all the options so they correspond with your internet settings. Then click apply and exit the window. 3.) Go to "Load>Executable" then browze to your steam.exe file (should be in C:/program files/steam) under the box that says "application line" type in -appid 210. Hit run and wait for steam to load and the Canster system to finish processing. 4.) You'll notice that CSS will be loading after Canster finishes processing, wait for it to complete. When CSS is finished loading it should auto-minimize (if not tab out). 5.) The Canster program will ask you if you want to download the latest updates for "CSS VAC2 ForgIt", obviously select yes. You'll probably updated for about a minute or so (if your time is stuck at 0 minutes you may need to check your internet configuration) 6.) With the ForgIt plugin updated completly, double click it in the "Ready Systems" list (you should only see 3 if this is your first time using it) 7.) An application window should apear, at the top there is a input box with text "Your Steam ID" and a button next to it called "Find", click the find button and your steam numbers (the ones after STEAM_X:X:) should be in the box. 8.) There are a series of connection options to select from, if you previously configured your internet options properly just check "use default connection" and specify an open port within the range 27000 to 27050. (make sure it is open and/or forwarded) 9.) At the very bottom you need to find ANOTHER steam id that is an account with CSS on it. (please keep in mind, its important to find an inactive or rarly used account because when they log on, you will be kicked out of the game) 10.) Click "begin" and give it a few seconds to process. When it is fully setup, CSS will automaticly maximize (do it yourself if not) and you will be able to join other peoples servers, as if you were connecting as if you were the other client. NOTE: the crappy thing is, you can get the steamid your hiding as banned using hacks... so... get some undetected hacks? This still works for me as i said, but i do not use it any more.
