I was just wondering if there is a way to check someones IP from receiving one of their emails. I know theres a way to do it with Outlook but i dont know how to use outlook. I never use it. Can anyone help me out? The reason i want to know someones ip is cuz i went to http://craigslist.org/ and well i received some strange emails i want to know if its really someone from here where i live or someone from far away who is trying to do some weird scam or hack me somehow. I know you guys probably will be like well forget about it but i still would like to know.

BTW the emails im trying to check the IP addres are from GMAIL

right click the e-mail

left click 'options'

 

the header is at the bottom.

 

select all of the header

copy all of the header

 

post it here

 

I track down spam alot. We'll figure out where it came from.

Thanks for the help it was the headers at first i didnt know where to find them but i figure it out after messing in the options and setting the headers to full. However for gmail emails they dont have the x originating ip and it said it was from private ip when i did a ip-address.com look up. And they ended up being both spam. Its ashame i thought i was gonna score with some babes and then out of nowhere they tell me if i wanna keep talkin to them to join an adult site where u have to pay to send messages, yea right haha
