Anyone know if there are any cs exploits which give u access to hlds/adminmod/amxmod?

if u do can u please let me know.

you can still sniff admin passwords right up to rcon level if you open the log file that starts when game is open, and an admin joins after you did AND the server's main admin wasn't smart enough to encrypt it.

even if it was encrypted, if you know how to do it, you can usually unencrypt the pw once it's sniffed.

only downside is if the adminmod/amxmod is designed to recognize WON or Steam ID instead of name or tag, it gets a little difficult to use anything but rcon level passwords...those can still be used in HLSW and in game, if you can grab it :)

don't need a sniffer....go to the SIERRA directory while in game, find a file called tv***.log or tv***.txt (where the *** are up to 7 chars wildcard), and open it...usually you'll have difficulty opening it because it's "in use", but if you've got an active progging platform or runtime debugger on your system, you should be able to open the puppy right off...

copy the text in it, and paste it to a new document...save...study it later.

eventually you'll figure out what the stuff in it means...the passwords are clearly labeled, and tell you who/what they are related to...

if they're encrypted...you can use reverse encryption (decrypt) on them if they used the encryption tool included with AMX mod or adminmod by running the mod on your own machine with encryption, and reverse-engineering the encryption method, it's pretty easy to figure out.

only things that become difficult is if they relate admin PW to WON/Steam ID (then you gotta keep sniffing until you cath an HLSW rcon password logon in the logfile), or if they use a third party encryption tool to encrypt the pw.

it puts it in root dir also (c:/) its randomly named like a2143.a2 sometimes it is left behind if the game crashes
I quit CSing about 3 months back...but since when is it totally random, ahhchuu? since 1.0 (possibly before, in the "betas") the logfile I found was always named tv<random shit here>.log or .txt (depending on server mod, if applicable)
i dont know what its called exactly... jeez, its a random file though and it is on c:\

i found the files, but what programs can i use to open them (ie get around the sharing violations)
