i had alot of trouble with ATI, back when most of you were still in diapers. 7 years ago ATI's drivers were comparable to a 13 year old writing his Hello World program. I had to put up with it for a couple of years until they released drivers that would make games playable at least. It's just recently in 2003-2004 that they have been releasing some decent quality drivers. After having so much trouble I never paid attention to any new ATI products because of their neglect for customer satisfaction. I am only going to ditch my TNT2 when Nvidia comes with a reasonably priced competitive video card. The NV40 has appealing performance but I don't have 2 molex connectors or the nerve to listen to a 90 decible jet engine screaming in my case.

I choose Ati...I use to have a Gf4 64 mb card and it was teh shit..but then all of the sudden it started to suck when i played games...then eventually it wouldnt play any 3d graphics at all..everything else was fine..util it went into like opengl or d3d...then i changed cards..and i bought radeon (only cause it was cheep) and its better than what i had and it runs everything very smoothly..

Personaly i have owned a few ati cards, and everyone that i bought i returned and got an nvidia instead. I mean one of their cards, just fried on me cuz i turned on the fucking screen saver. nvidia... becuase ati releases patches for drivers without testing them fully. there have been atleast 2 times where ati released patches where the card would fry, or some other part.

So nvidia for me, plus I got serious sam and an extra fan for free with the expansion pack :rofl:

how can you not love ati's all in wonder's, you get a frricking REMOTE, plugs for everything imaginable, from like 4 moniters to vcr's, radio, tv, also you plug in your cable in there and you got tv on your comp, its fucking amazing, i got a all in wonder radon 9600 pro and it owns, playing far cry on max, ut2k4 on max, painkiller, max payne, pop, unreal 2, enclave, all those games without a hitch, plus having 1 gig ram and an extremly overclocked amd helps too.
