When I saw the first one in the theater, I don't remember her name being bleeped out. But I don't see why the fact that I didn't catch it from watching the second film means I don't know shit about psychology.

I found Kill Bill 1 to be entirely more entertaining. Being an avid Tarantino fan I had expected alot from both Kill Bills and I was sadly disappointed with the second one.

For those who say the dialogue was pure genius, I'd have to disagree. Some of it was well-placed and funny (Reminds me of Be just saying "Bitch." to Elle after she finds out about [not spoiling]'s death) but for the most part it was boring and drawn-out (the tranquilizer scene at the end comes to mind). Don't get me wrong, the acting and the characters were top-notch in the way they were played, but the movie itself was far too drawn-out. It was the polar opposite of Kill Bill 1. But hey, maybe thats what Tarantino had in mind. It just wasn't what I thought it was going to be, and I guess that's what ruined it for me (the environment couldn't have helped either; I work for a movie theatre and I saw the sneak preview of it the night before- it was very Mystery Science Theatre-esque).

As a side note, the Punisher was indeed a badass movie. Travolta plays a villain very well, and whoever it is that played the Punisher was absolutely perfect for the role.

See I actually think it was a good ending cause you'd expect Bill and her to have a big fight and so it fooled you and I liked that.

However, I do agree that Bill's bro died a gay ass death. It would have been better if Uma could have killed him and got her revenge. Although the part with the snake was pretty cool.

But see I think the dialogue is what Tarantino is famous for. Pulp Fiction and Jackie Brown had a lot more dialogue than either of the Kill Bill's .

failed attempt

actually i dont know if pulp fiction and jackie brown really had more dialogs.. possibly its the scaling between dialog and action in those two movies; while in kb2 it is boring dialogs en masse followed by some action.. its not that scaled. but well thats just my opinion.

later

i personally think that quentin as a writer was trying to develope himself. there were so many literary effects in this film. i will list the others that i didnt speak of earlier.

black mamba:

if you noticed that the black mamba did not attack beatrix than you have a good eye. the snake realized that she was another snake like itself.

having watched unbreakable as well, you will notice that this movie does what m night shyamalan could not do. bill suggested she was born a killer. much like superman was born himself.

unbreakable was like batman. created not born.

also, the pop culture effects:

in japan it is more often than not to see violence in cartoons, anime and movies. when they are in japan, there is more blood, more violence and most importantly when they are in el paso in vol 1 there is less blood. notice the pop culture here?

he was trying to show (imo) the huge differences between american movies and japanese film.

edit:

i found this link to be benificial to explaining why it was less violent.

/edit

to make my point more clear, see The Virgin Suicides (Sofia Coppola 2000) and see the Japanese Suicide Club (Sion Sono 2002)

you will see the difference in culture in these 2 unrelated films. and if you are from britain then dont even bother trying to understand this, everything is banned in your goddamned country. ha @ you.

i just simply and whole heartedly believe that this was quentin's attempt at becoming a better story teller. and i think he did a damn good job at it.

Quote:I _just_ came back from watching it, and the fucking thing wasnt that great. It dragged on FOREVER. Some parts were just TEDIOUS. I wanted to fall asleep because your precious dialogue was boring me. There wasnt enough action to keep me intriuged. By no means do i only watch action movies... I really like thinking type movies liek a beautiful mind and whatnot, but this was just too much. They just keep on reiterating the same emotions over and over in this movie. She loves him, she hates him. Yadda yadda yadda. I can't believe you think that one was better than the first one. Do you smoke crack as an occupation or something? fapfapfap

You shouldn't have gone there expecting something, that *always*, or at least 99% of the time, ruins the movie. People were raving to me about LOTR (The first one), and I thought it would be my favorite movie... but of course my fucking friends had to exaggerate about all the scenes, (if that's possible with LOTR), so it was a really great movie, but somehow now as good as I expected. ^_^

Myg0ticA']Oh come on ' date=' it's obvious your lying. How could kill bill vol.2 possibly be better then its predecessor Kill bill vol 1 ? Without 1 there simply would not be a 2 unless of course 2 was one and then somewhere down the road they made 2 making the one that is 2 now one. :wtcslap:[/quote']
