i felt like sharing the best guitar solo ever with you slimey, fat, ignorant americunts who have no idea how blessed you are for living in the same century with Noel Gallagher, Johnny Marr, Morrisey and others

lol...are you serious?

Noel Gallagher is just playing some repetitious blues scale, popularized by black Americans back in the 1950's (which is a dif century btw) *boring*

Morrisey is a good singer, but I've never seen him play guitar. Johnny Marr is good, but him and Morrisey should've stayed in The Smiths and stfu.

is the best guitarist ever.

btw...ur mom likes my fat cock, and I fixed ur sig

was that supposed to be a joke?

mediocre haha if you think that's amazing then you should pretty much go suck a dick

he has talent

but it's not the best ever.

was that supposed to be a joke?

No. Are or were there not 2 brothers in Oasis? And i said that because even if they werent brothers they were still little whiny "im better than everyone else" little pieces of shit. Their music sucks, their attitudes suck, and if i was from the same country as them i would try my best to pretend they didnt even exist.

I agree that the best guitarist isn't always the one who can do the most difficult things. But, Yngwie can do it all. He does classical music, as well as heavy metal, blues, etc etc.

then how come ive never heard of Chewie or w/e his name is :wow:

prolly cuz ur not a musician. do you play any instruments?

Yngwie is Swedish. Not too many Swedish artists become popular, I dunno why.

I knew you'd mention the Beatles (which is a fantastic argument), so I wanted to show you how the Beach Boys influenced The Beatles.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pet_Sounds

The Beatles, for example, have said that Pet Sounds was a major influence on their album Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, and Paul McCartney has repeatedly named it as one of his favorite albums (with "God Only Knows" as his favorite song) — completing a circle begun by the Beatles' influence on Wilson (see "the beginning of Pet Sounds", above). McCartney stated that:

“ It was Pet Sounds that blew me out of the water. I love the album so much. I've just bought my kids each a copy of it for their education in life ... I figure no one is educated musically 'til they've heard that album ... I love the orchestra, the arrangements ... it may be going overboard to say it's the classic of the century ... but to me, it certainly is a total, classic record that is unbeatable in many ways ... I've often played Pet Sounds and cried. I played it to John [Lennon] so much that it would be difficult for him to escape the influence ... it was the record of the time. The thing that really made me sit up and take notice was the bass lines ... and also, putting melodies in the bass line. That I think was probably the big influence that set me thinking when we recorded Pepper, it set me off on a period I had then for a couple of years of nearly always writing quite melodic bass lines. "God Only Knows" is a big favourite of mine ... very emotional, always a bit of a choker for me, that one. On "You Still Believe in Me", I love that melody - that kills me ... that's my favourite, I think ... it's so beautiful right at the end ... comes surging back in these multi-coloured harmonies ... sends shivers up my spine.

You were so lucky to have Led Zeppelin. They are amazing. But we could argue all day about musical quality from each country.

I just don't think that Noel Gallagher was playing the 'best guitar solo'. I actually play guitar. His solo was made of things you learn the first couple years you play guitar.

Plus, I had to give you some shit for your sig.

guys. Yngwie Malmsteen is a GREAT guitarist but is NOT the best. he is one of the best but not the best no one can be the best one person would be better than theo ther at something else. But IMO my FAVORITE guitarist would have to be Marty Friedman. I like his solos ^^

EDIT: Malmsteen doesnt even pick half the time hes just hammering on and pulling off 75% of the time

Well, I guess it's a matter of opinion after all.

Good point.

Can you do it just as well as him?

Can you do it just as well as him?

actually ya i can, i can play black star all the way i v been playing for 7 years

generic

those are all icon bands

they're not bad

but if you're going to name drop, try something that hasn't been dropped for the past 20 years k?

look at herman li, his solos look SOO damn hard and fast but actually its more easier to play than the actual riff of the song. hammer ons and pull offs ( basic guitar) makes everything sound 3x faster if your using it alot. im not saying there horrible at guitar but there not as good as it seems they are. i know many guitarists out there that arent famous at all but there much better than Yngwie, like this guy

but at the end it all that matters is what type of music your into.

actually ya i can, i can play black star all the way i v been playing for 7 years

That's impressive.

Try "Disciples of hell"

I'm amazed at you guys that think hammer-ons and pull-offs are 'basic' guitar.

Hey, whatever floats ur boats.

That's impressive.

hammer ons and pull offs ARE basic guitar...i learned them the first 6 months of guitar lessons, arpeggios from hell, black star, and evil eye is what i can paly from yngwie

I'd say that 'chords' and "chord progression" is basic.

Are you guys learning how to tune ur guitars right after ur born?
