October 21, 200717 yr I believe you can avoid the mute in GoldSource-based games by placing a " after your name in your friends list in Steam. Not sure if it works anymore. You can also steal names to confuse people too.

This was fixed with the release of the Steam Community, I believe. As for mute prevention in Source, I don't think there is anything public that you can really do aside from reconnection with a different name or just stealing someones name, etc.
October 22, 200717 yr Author Okay thanks for all answers. I noticed that many people don't know how to mute someone because I played annoys on a 32/45 Server without an admin. ( Reconnectet too for those who knows ) - Rodoc :gaysex:
October 22, 200717 yr If you change your name to someone else's make sure it someone who uses the mic a lot (someone planning strats, etc). Most times people will just mute you both but its better because they will voteban the wrong person.
