Posted November 15, 200717 yr So I get this letter on Saturday from my bank, informing me that a check I deposited into one of their ATM's 2 months ago was incorrectly proccessed for more then what the check was written for. The check was writen for $500 and they state it was inputted into my account for 800, so they had taken the extra 300 back from my account. Well I go back over my bank statements and show that this was not the case, that the check did go in for the 500 amount and there was never any extra 300 at any point. So I give them a call and talk to some rep on Saturday, who looks over the account and sees the same thing I'm seeing. He pretty much is like "wow they really fucked you over and stole money from you". He then tells me, the department that handles this is not open and to call back Tuesday, because Monday is a holiday. So I call back Tuesday and speak to another rep, who once again agrees that they fucked up but he cannot do anything and transfers me around, where I end up at some call center that doesnt even handle my bank. So I hang up call back again, speak to yet another rep and he tells me they are closed and to call back at 8 am. Next day, 8am, I call, speak to yet another rep, explain the same fucking story again, get the same shit, that they fucked me and she cannot help and needs to get me to some other department. After holding another 20mins, I get some rep finally from that department, who will not admitt any fault, but agrees to open a "claim" to "research" the issue and that I now have to wait UP TO 48 hours for a response to the "claim". As much as I argued with this bitch trying to get her to admitt they made a major mistake and that every other rep who looked at the account admitted it being a mistake on the banks part, she would not admitt any fault nor even apologize to me. So now I'm waiting out the 48 hours hoping they resolve the issue and give the money back they stole from me. I also plan on closing the account when all is said and done, not to mention the 3 other accounts I have with this bank. /end rant
November 15, 200717 yr i guess he wouldn't be pissed if he was rich. that sucks man...all those faggots who take money from you use the same system. if it's for insurances or a bank like in your situation. they just transfer you around and every time you call, someone else picks up the phone and guess what? they all can't help you and sure as hell, what ever happened, it was NOT their fault . you can't do shit about it, they own you. and when you yell at them or threaten them to come over and kick some ass, they just hang up and you'll never find out who it was.
November 15, 200717 yr I was at a walmart about four months ago using my old bank card from NY to withdraw rent money. When I went to withdraw $500 from the account it came up with some error message, so I figured I couldn't withdraw that much from that ATM. So I punch in a lower amount - $300. Out comes three hundred dollars and my receipt. I look at my receipt and notice the fact that I'm short exactly 501.40. The fucking ATM took the $500 out anyway. I call the bank up from my car, pretty fucking raged at them. The guy tells me that they have to 'open a claim' to get things rolling. He said that it takes 7-10 days for this to go through. This is fine, I'm going to get my money, right? Not so fast. I called three times in that 7-10 day period asking for an update. They said the same thing every time. Call back on the 11th day. So I did, and guess what I hear? 'We're very sorry sir, but your information is not in our system. Are you sure you filed a claim?' You're god damn fucking right I filed a claim. At this point, I had to refile it. It was a Friday and Monday was memorial day. Long weekend. No money for me. So I wait, and on Tuesday I get some paper work to fill out which I have notorized. At this point I get another letter from my Branch office in NY (BTW, I'm in Michigan) saying that my account is now -$63.87. Please pay before we fuck you with a pogo stick. (What's more, they don't include ANY contact information so there is no way I can contact my branch office other than going there) I send the paper work in and spend the next month or so receiving many nasty letters from my branch office. In the end the overdraft fee's were now around -$130. At this point I call them and ask for an update. They tell me the same thing I've been told so many times - we're working on it. I'm researching it at this point, and what do I find? In cases EXACTLY like this they MUST give me my money back within 30 days of the initial claim. At this point I call my state attorneys office and the NY state attorneys office. It took all that shit, and five months for them to send me my money back. I got it back about a week ago - of course it's 'pending furthur investigation' so it's really still not my money. To top it off I had to fight them not to charge me overdraft. Fucking amazing, right? Long story short, if you can, avoid Greenpoint/Northfork/Capital One.

A lot easier =) It would be so simple to just to that, but I'd need a bank to cash my check. My bank where I live now is pretty nice. Local state banks ftw... until a big shitty national buys it. advise: keep your posts short if you want people to actually read it, I for one didn't. I'll keep that in mind. Next time I write a post I cater only to mindless idiots. BTW: Welcome to myg)t forums. You're now one of 80,000,000 other idiots to do the exact same thing as you.

November 15, 200717 yr I do all of my business with a Credit Union, they care a lot more about the customer. There's only 2 offices for UNCLE Credit Union in the world, and they haven't been bought out and probably won't because they've been around for a good 50 years. My friend was trying to get a loan at DeVry and they rejected his loan because somehow he had made a request for a $999,999 loan and had been rejected before so he isn't going to be able to attend classes this semester because of some glitch in their system.
November 15, 200717 yr speaking of getting fucked on hold... let me tell you something about sprint. kill yourself before dealing with those fucks. I wanted a sprint mogul and found a deal for 300 bucks on one along with a plan for unlimited everything (internet, texts, etc) for 40 bucks a month with insurance. Needless to say after ordering online twice, 1st time they fucked up my order so i re did it. they then over draft my account for the full amount of 500 and some odd dollars. I call up and am on hold for 2 and a half hours going between the same fucking 3 departments each one of them telling me you need to go to this one and so on. By the time i got to a guy who knew what was up I was basically screaming in to the phone. anyways phone arrives and i have to activate it, which means that i have to call up sprint again... After the first woman telling me that i cant activate it because its the wrong plan ( its a sprint employee pricing plan) i hung up and finally got it activated.... /wrists plz and tl;dr fuck your self, except zet <3

Ya I'm going to move to a credit uinion now as well, they seem to actually give a damn.
