d0wn;527168']i thought hotels were from 1 - 5 stars?

its a hyperbole but believe me...this earns every right to be called a seven star hotel...and I'm going!

How much is the airplane ride and food etc on top of the 8 grand to stay the night?

i had stayed at the Atlantis Hotel a few years ago on the Bahama Island Nassau.

the bridge you see in the pic is a $25,000/night room. Oprah and her dark skin stayed there once as well as the CEO of Toyota.

4 nights at this special room would cost $100,000 USD.

i saw a documentary about the making of this hotel and its quite impressive, it's built on sand as the foundation. Roger Federer and Andre Agasse played tennis on top of the hotel once :gaykeke:
wow might as well just buy a fucking house

Agreed. There is nothing that I can imagine that a hotel room can offer in one night that is worth over $100. $2000 a night is such a huge scam it's unbelievable who would let their money go to waste like that.

EDIT-

In Suite Facilities

* In addition to a dining and living area, each suite has an office area complete with laptop, Internet access, private fax, printer and copier

* Hidden network of advanced technology - lighting, curtains and air-conditioning at the touch of a button

* 42-inch plasma screen, video on demand, DVD, 93 cable channels, and 2 hotel information channels

* Full range of men and ladies Hermes amenities (full size bottles)

* Dining table for in-suite dining

* A safe for the safe keeping of your belongings

* Pillow menu with a range of 13 pillows and quilts to choose from

* Walk-in shower and Jacuzzi / Spa bath, complimented by a decadent bath menu with music and Aromatherapy Associates bath oils, prepared by your butler

* Children’s amenities

* A private bar and in-suite mini-bar

All of those things are bullshit.

-What are you going to use a dining area for? Wouldn't you rather dine out and try some of the local cuisine?

-Remote control curtains... WOW AMAZING!

-The TV setup is what most typical middle class families have these days so nothing special there.

-Hermes amenities = soap. Most hotels have soap for you anyway so whoopdee-fuckin-doo.

-Again with the dining table?

-Most hotels I've been in have safes...again nothing special

-A pillow menu?? WTF? This is the only thing on the list that seems "luxurious" to me but it also seems like such a waste. How different can pillows and quilts really get?

-Bath oils? Who puts oil on themself in the shower? Besides I wouldn't want a butler delivering me soap in the bath.

-Children's amenities = soap...maybe a rubber ducky too.

-Mini bars are commonplace in hotels as well.

IN SUMMARY - NOT WORTH IT!!!

i stayed there, thats a pretty insane hotel

$2000 a night is such a huge scam it's unbelievable who would let their money go to waste like that.

To most of the people who will be staying at the hotel, $2 000 is just small change. They would be willing to pay $2 000 just so that they know that they are surrounded by other rich people, unlike an ordinary hotel.

fuck, id pay 2000 bucks a night if i had enough money, that looks like a sweet place to stay

Good luck. If only I had goals like that.

For now I just plan on getting out of college.
