Its not worth more than maybe 200$ Its just not a fun system. Ps2 ftw. But anyways, just send it in. Sucks that you have to wait for a month but what can ya do.
November 21, 200717 yr yo killbydeath i got the same problem, it would freeze a couple times saying the game is dirty, and then eventually i would be in a game and its just like "please insert game" peace of shit system, im sending it in to get repaired. (theres a 3 year warrenty for all systems right now, you dont need to pay at all just call) and then im trading it in for a wii I would also sometimes get this weird ass error. Was playing Bioshock, and it would say, Please insert xbox 360 console, and underneath it being chinise writing or something. So like you have done, seems like im going to send it in to get fixed.

My store only had the Halo 3 edition ($399) and the elite ($499). Considering I don't have much money (and the fact that I didn't care for extra HDD space), it was the only one I could afford. I don't give a flying shit about Halo 3; the game wasn't even included with the console anyway. Hell, I'm not fond of Halo fanboys myself. November 25, 200717 yr I sent in my hard drive after I dropped it down the stairs and they just replaced it with a brand new one after like 2 weeks. The only thing was that all my gamesaves and shit were lost so i had to start every game I owned from scratch.
