Jedi Pimp;528305']I have an 8GB ipod touch. I like it because it has wi-fi, so i can surf intrawebs. I don't think the Zune has wi-fi.

I use MP3 format plus I don't d/l songs from itunes. I don't like the DRM or the AIFF format, but again not really an issue since I don't d/l shit from apple.

I think the ipod have the edge due to menu/navigation etc, but basically plays the same shit a zune will.

Also, I like the fact that Apple takes care of its customers better than M$. If you have a prob you can roll into an Apple store and talk to someone and get your shit handled easily.

QFT.

Exactly what he said.

Apple has the upper hand right now, although M$ did seem to have it before the touch came out.

My ipod mini broke. The spinwheel decides when it gets to wurk.

holy shit jedi we must be the exact same person

my 160 gb ipod sometimes likes to run out of battery for no reason when i need to use it

other than that its fine. i dont know how well a zune runs though

I have both.

Use the Zune (Gen. 2) for the videos(Better screen) and wireless syncing, along with its superior music quality. I use my iPod (160GB) to hold all my music for my car.

LOL ME 2, the spinning thing only works when it feels like it, but mines not really brokin mines like bugged or something, it turns off when it feels like it too

i have had quite a few problems with my iPod

it locks up randomly

wont get all the songs

first one i got was DOA, second one was dicked up and wouldnt work, but my 3 one worked fine...so far

holds a random amount stuff i cant get rid of even after "formatting" it

locks up on songs and cant reset it.

although my brother has a zune the only problem with is so far is that its not compatible with Vista, but im sure updating drivers will take care of that.

You obviously don't know the difference between bytes and bits do you?

... You don't need to prove to me that there's only 1.74 GB free on your nano.

There's a mathmatical calculation to show that Apple is trying to trick the customer into thinking they're getting 2 GB, but since companies like to use the SI prefix, you're not actually getting a drive with 2 gigabytes.

You take the '2000 MB' that's in your nano and multiply it by 7%, then subtract that from the 2000.

2000-140 = 1860 MB. Then about 100 MB for the OS and all the other stuff preloaded on it.

Approximate ratios between binary & decimal prefixes

As the order of magnitude increases, the percentage difference between the binary and decimal values of a prefix increases, from 2.4% (with the kilo prefix) to over 20% (with the yotta prefix). This makes differentiating between the two increasingly important as larger and larger data storage and transmission technologies are developed.

Name Bin ÷ Dec Dec ÷ Bin Example Percentage difference

kilobyte : kibibyte 1.024 0.976 100 kB ≅ 97.6 KiB +2.4% or −2.3%

megabyte : mebibyte 1.049 0.954 100 MB ≅ 95.4 MiB +4.9% or −4.6%

gigabyte : gibibyte 1.074 0.931 100 GB ≅ 93.1 GiB +7.4% or −6.9%

hi guys r zunes better then ipods? :thinker:

please be nice and help :happysad:

unless you can fill more than 80gb, go for ipod. if 80gb is enough, and still want those cool extras that the ipods dont have, go for zune. i personally have a zune myself.

oh, if you like the wireless sync, go for zune and if you dont like having finger prints right when you touch your brand new mp3 player, go for zune (aluminum backing, unlike ipod with metal)

I'm just really bored. D:

i have an old school 20 gig, locks up.

i have a 2 gig nano that i got with my macbookpro, dont use it alot but it works great

i also have a 60 gig video that i use as the main one. works great

i got the 60 gig for free :D

I finally played with a ipod touch though at the store, and if i had the cash would certainly get one. very cool. to me works faster than the iphone does

my Ipod (300 Tera bytes) is the shit, I can listen to my mp3's, go back in time with the time machine that includes wifi so I can surf the net while watching dinosaurs mate, also the laser cannon comes pretty handy but it eats way on my arugamextror battery too much. It only cost me 2 million $.
i got a 80gb ipod like 2 month ago and i lost it somewhere this week, im pissed off, i have no clue where it is. it was awesome while it lasted though :(
