December 6, 200717 yr Yes but when it is filled it reaches a state where it is no longer empty, but when it's full and being empty'd, it will go through a state of being half empty and then empty. Its still half full. Whatever you're trying to say doesn't mean anything.
December 6, 200717 yr <<270 + 20(what the fourth guy kept) = 290.>> WRONG. 270 - 20 (for the 4th guy. If you have to pay something you can't add it to your money, you have to subtract it) 3x0,90= 2,70 Bread= 2,50 Money left: 0,20 4th guy took 0,20 Money: 0,00 The mistake is, that you calculate with an entire price of 3,00, but that's wrong! The 3 guys only pay for bread (2,50) and the 0,20 for their friend. So it's 2,70 (3x0,90). If you want to solve it with the 3,00: 4th guy has 3,00 pays 2,50 for bread money left: 0,50 4th guy takes 0,20 money left: 0,30 each of the 3 guys get 0,10 Money left: 0,00
December 6, 200717 yr son: dad, will you help me find the least common denominator in this problem? dad: good heavens, son, don't tell me that hasn't been found. they were looking for it when i was a kid! ok but seriously, here is a fun riddle / logic question 3 guys need to buy bread, they pay 1 dollar each. In total there is now 3 dollars, and a fourth guy (hasn't paid) goes out to buy it. The bread only costs $2.50, meaning 50 cents are spare. The fourth guy decides 50 cents can't be split between 3, so he decides to keep 20 cents and pays back each of the three other guys 10 cents. The 3 guys have now actually paid 90 cents each. So, 3x90 = 270 cents. $2.70 + 20 cents (what the fourth guy kept) = $2.90. Where has 10 cents disappeared? Bread = 2.50 4th dude kept .20 so as to give and even amount of change to other 3 dudes. In total right now is 2.70 Give the proper even amount of change which is .10 to each of the 3 dudes now you have .30 .30 + 2.70 = 3.00 GG P.S. fuck you ishbu123 for beating me to the punch...

They have each paid one third of the price of the bread ($2.50/3 = 83.3333 cents), plus one third of the the fourth guy's profit ($0.20/3 = 6.66667 cents). The sum happens to be 90 cents. If the fourth guy had given back the exact sum, they would have payed 90 cents minus 20/3 = 83.3333 cents.
