Posted April 24, 200421 yr I got this browser to check out what all the rave was about, so I downloaded a copy for windows and installed it. Upon starting the browser it resembled IE's interface, clean looking, not too obstructive. The settings were lacking however, still basic and great for the 6 meg download. Nice to see a in-tab page view, cool source view feature and pop up blocking. After browsing for a couple of hours I noticed that some pages took a little longer than they should to load up, and some even crashed the browser. Most pages opened faster than IE though, but Opera is still the way to go for speed,features and GUI. Since it was free and had such a small file size I give this browser a score of 7.8/10
April 24, 200421 yr firefox is mozillas lil brother. i used to browse with mozilla since they released firefox (former name was firebird), i use that one cuz i dont need all the shit mozilla comes with. firefox is more stable and faster (a bit at least) than mozilla. mozilla takes ages to load sometimes, even if it is tsr resident. firefox as well sometimes takes yrs to load, dunno y. if u surf with ie u deserve to die anyways. lol new ms sec fix patches ie 128 bit ssl encryption useless down to 0 bit. wrahha.
April 24, 200421 yr tabbed browsing is the shit. there are some public patches out which add tab browsing to ie, thus ie didnt get any more secure though ^^.

April 25, 200421 yr Tabbed browsing is indeed the shit. I'm surprised it's not in the normal IE yet. Microsoft is so fucking stupid. MYIE works great also. Just some minor glitches, nothing too trouble some.
April 25, 200421 yr Opera = the win. I can not stand when MSN messenger or hotmail automatically tries to use IE. No mouse gestures, pop up sodomy? No fucking thanks. Edit: I just read the thread You view a website with it HAHAHA So fuckin' true. 1. Ad-Aware scan. 0 files found. 2. Use MSN messenger to check my hotmail, naturally little bitch ms uses its own shit so it opens IE which is not my default browser 3. check e-mail 4. Ad-Aware scan. 9 offending files found. Same thing with Opera, and 0. No popups, no spyware, no anything that happens behind your back.
April 25, 200421 yr i had firefox but links i opened in irc would always default to IE even when i fucked with the default settings, and instead of fucking around with it all i just went back to IE with google toolbar, that pop up blocker works well enuf if u can pair with ad-aware and other anti virus shit
April 25, 200421 yr i use firefox alot but most sites are made for internet explorer and firefox gets a fuxed layout. It is much faster in browsing though

April 26, 200421 yr as far as i know, ms isnt developing ie anymore. i guess those ie fixes r released cuz they cant leave ie unsecure (LOL) while they release fixes for everything else.
