Posted December 25, 200717 yr Well, I built my tower 5 some years ago so I put an AGP Video Card slot in there since that was the leading type of video card at the time. I don't want to buy a whole another tower so I just need your recommendations on a great AGP card that is (preferably) capable of DirectX 10 Games.

December 25, 200717 yr I really doubt anyone cares what you hope for. That's why you are a fucking peasant in the middle of fucking egypt I looked at your sig and have hated you since. i think the 8800 gts is good, and its cheaper than the gtx and gt. but if you want to pony up a couple hundred, go with the GT.
December 25, 200717 yr Everybody keeps recommending PCIx cards when he said in his first post he wants AGP. Theres really nothing good you can do. Since your PC is 5 years old a high end VGA or one with DX10 would just bottleneck your system. Probably better off saving 300 or 400 more bucks and getting a newer lower end system with PCIx.

December 25, 200717 yr meh, you can get some shit agp vid card but its not gunna play newer games very smoothly, dont spend too much money on it since its outdated anyways heres one for 50bucks tahts might be half decent http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130197 save your money for a new computer if you want to play newer games, you can build a really nice system for around 800 bucks, even a decent one for 500
December 25, 200717 yr a new mobo would be just as good. But then he'd have to get different ram, cpu, and a better PSU, so that everything is compatible.
December 25, 200717 yr But then he'd have to get different ram, cpu, and a better PSU, so that everything is compatible. no. i almost guarantee that he wouldn't have to buy all that stuff new. the only thing is he would probably have to reformat his HDD.

December 25, 200717 yr no. i almost guarantee that he wouldn't have to buy all that stuff new. the only thing is he would probably have to reformat his HDD. no, most likely he would need new cpu and ram at least, harddrive would probably not be compatable either.
December 25, 200717 yr no. i almost guarantee that he wouldn't have to buy all that stuff new. the only thing is he would probably have to reformat his HDD. Well upgrading to a new MB for a PC that is 5 years old doesnt make a whole lot of sense. So he could upgrade to a better MB but then it would probably be a different skt. Then the Ram would have to be exactly the same also (ddr300, ddr500 etc..) And im sure his PSU is no more 400w and its 5 years old.
December 25, 200717 yr d0wn;534611']no' date=' most likely he would need new cpu and ram at least, harddrive would probably not be compatable either.[/quote'] i have an HDD that's 4 years old. the secret is finding a mobo that supports everything just has a pci slot.
December 25, 200717 yr Author Well heres the deal I have a PCI video card thats good to go and some ram if anyone can recommend a case with a motherboard in it i can just put all my old stuff in there with the new card and ram? any recommendations for that?
December 26, 200717 yr Whats the cpu? You'll have to match the skt type i.e. 939, am2 etc... Ill look around when you tell me.
