Posted December 27, 200717 yr What do you fgts think about Sager Notebooks. I am srsly considering one now. But battery life is only like 1 hour doing something like web browsing. And it has loud fans. But it is for sum gaiming and such. And then thinkpad is like having problems. http://www.sagernotebook.com Here is a couple sager's I was looking at compared to the thinkpad. http://la.gg/upl/saer.jpg http://la.gg/upl/thinpad.jpg
December 27, 200717 yr Well, the second looks pretty nice. But the first is better. The prices are through the roof. I would, just go with the second. It does what you need it to.
December 27, 200717 yr Author The seccond is the one I was going to go with. But I guess the sager has about a 1.5 hour battery life with just web browsing. And loud fans, The sager is meant to sit on a desk and not be brought around with you everyhweere. Thinkpads have about 6 hours battery life doing something like web browsing. and they have the roll cage and the harddrive air bag deal. it's a tuffy.

December 27, 200717 yr Does any one here have a MacBook Pro, I guess they run windows natively now? Ive also seem some using windows in a VM on a MBP that looked ok. Any experiences with MBP? I dont have one, but I beta tested alot of that shit. The VM thing is standard now. Its not dualboot anymore, you run windows ontop of MAC OSX through a VM. It drains the battery like a motherfucker and has problems with file downloading and stuff like that. Filed placed in windows partition dont always show up in OSX. Sometimes it'll fuck up your program since there is a link between windows and OSX registry somewhere(not sure why the fuck they did that for) and things like Itunes fucks with WMP and vice versa. But all in all, those are nice systems(no where near gaming nice).

December 27, 200717 yr Could you play something like CS:S on one? NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT with 128MB of GDDR3 SDRAM And how compatible is it with linux? You cant play CSS on this VM, nor would it run any other graphic intense games. Only flash kinda shit, and that sucks hard. the 8600 is not made necessarily for gaming, especialy with 128mb of ram, that would make it laggy or force you to use very low settings to play. Resulting in bad gaming experience. All systems are compatible with linux. You just need to install linux, install cedega and install your games through cedega. However, that video card wont do you any good. You'll want to get something with minimum 256mb and prolly higher game rating then a 8600. my 2cents
