so your saying you want me to walk around and try to convert every person who is non Christian to Christianity? It doesnt work that way, a person does what he wants to do, I dont decide what he will believe in, he can decide for himself.

and im done for now, im not going to sit here for the rest of my friday night refreshing the page til someone replys, i have better things to do

No, I just expect valid arguments for people to explain why they do X or believe Y, I guess I expect too much. Anywho, good call on pulling out now before you lose any more ground.

I am very pleased to see these threads seems like you have grown from your abstinence, John.

BOY YOU GUYS HAVE SOME GOOD STORIES ABOUT THIS GOD CHARACTER AND IT IS PRETTY COOL THAT HE ESCAPES ALL QUESTIONING BECAUSE HIS SUPERPOWERS HAVE TO DO LARGELY WITH BEING ABOVE THINGS LIKE LOGIC AND HUMAN UNDERSTANDING. I WOULD LIKE TO REQUEST HOWEVER THAT YOU PLEASE GIVE SOME EVIDENCE THAT THIS GOD FELLOW HAS EXISTED FOREVER BECAUSE YOU SEE IN SCIENCE WE HAVE TROUBLE WITH THE CONCEPT OF TIME GOING BACK FOREVER BUT WE ADMIT TO THIS AND STRIVE TO GAIN GREATER INSIGHT INTO THE ABSTRACT NATURE OF THINGS AND BEING EVEN THOUGH IT WOULD BE MUCH EASIER TO SAY THAT'S JUST THE WAY THEY ARE AND YOU WILL SUFFER HORRIBLY IF YOU ASK ANOTHER QUESTION.

You can bullshit all you want with your logical fallacies and unsubstantiated "absolute truths" and concepts of permanence and such, but the plain truth is that there is no reasonable, quantifiable evidence of a god, there is evidence to support the notion that god is a concept created by man, and believers are fucking retarded. When you see me in hell, you can say, "I TOLD YOU SO!" But until then, please shut the fuck up and stop voting.

During my ban I have done many a contemplation and realization, and was able to come to an important conclusion regarding the existence of God. Long has the plague of Atheism been spreading through our Christian world to terrorize all humanity. I do agree, though, that there was good reason for it. How can we Christians really expect people to blindly believe in the stories from the Bible without any proper evidence of their occurrence? Well, I will now present to you not proof of Bible stories, but definite proof of the existence of God, which may help you to take up Christianity. Here is my logic:

God as represented by Christians is a perfect, all-powerful being. Who is to say that this being exists, though? Well he is all-powerful, and if he does not exist, he will simply create himself. You might say, but he can't just create himself! Well, by the definition of an all-powerful being, he can create himself; he can do anything, even what cannot be done. It is somewhat of a difficult concept to grasp, and many of you are probably unwilling to accept it, but if you think about it you will realize that this argument is infallible and cannot be refuted. Therefore, God exists!

Who the fuck made up god? Seriously.

We, humans did. Because weak, pathetic fucking retards such as yourself, need to look to some higher being, for hope, help, strength, etc.

So fuck off, just like 90% of the shit in this world, God is man-made.

What's fucked up though, is I believe in him.

So lol @ all the stupid shit in the world.

gg, New***s.

John doesn`t believe in god you shit. He made the thread to start shit.

Isn't that what he's usually doing?

Although, ultimately, you will need to make up your own mind about Mr. John_Winthrop, I have a number of things to say that you may find useful. The nitty-gritty of what I'm about to write is this: John_Winthrop's list of sins is long and each one deserves more space than I have here. Therefore, rather than describe each one individually, I'll summarize by stating that our battle with him is a battle between spiritualism and adversarialism, between tradition and subversion, between the defenders of Western civilization and its enemies. With the battle lines drawn as such, it is abundantly clear that John_Winthrop talks a lot about racialism and how wonderful it is. However, he's never actually defined what it means. How can he argue for something he's never defined? You know the answer, don't you? You probably also know that he has been known to "prove" statistically that he has been robbed of all he does not possess. As you might have suspected, his proof is flawed. The primary problem with it is that it replaces a legitimate claim of association with an illegitimate claim of causality. Consequently, John_Winthrop's "proof" demonstrates only that people often get the impression that puerile psychics and John_Winthrop's secret agents are separate entities. Not so. When one catches cold, the other sneezes. As proof, note that I correctly predicted that John_Winthrop would justify, palliate, or excuse the evils of his heart. Alas, I didn't think he'd do that so effectively -- or so soon.

I don't know what bothers me most about John_Winthrop. Is it his specious arguments, his illogical reasoning, his obscurantist claims, his unreasonable speculations, or any of the many forms of pseudoscholarship we see in his ideals? In any case, John_Winthrop's most steadfast claim is that an open party with unlimited access to alcohol can't possibly outgrow the host's ability to manage the crowd. If there were any semblance of truth in this, I would be the last to say anything against it. As it stands, however, for those of us who make our living trying to open students' eyes, minds, hearts, and souls to the world around them, it is important to consider that this is not wild speculation. This is not a conspiracy theory. This is documented fact. How can we trust a cankered libertine who actively conceals his true intentions? We can't. And besides, most of you reading this letter have your hearts in the right place. Now follow your hearts with actions.

Just between you and me, I am not a robot. I am a thinking, feeling, human being. As such, I get teary-eyed whenever I see John_Winthrop abet ethnic genocide, dictatorships, and putrid troglodytes. It makes me want to view the realms of credentialism and ethnocentrism not as two opposing poles but as two continua, which is why I'm so eager to tell you that unlike John_Winthrop, when I make a mistake I'm willing to admit it. Consequently, if -- and I'm bending over backwards to maintain the illusion of "innocent until proven guilty" -- he were not actually responsible for trying to exclude all people and proposals that oppose his nefarious, confused reinterpretations of historic events, then I'd stop saying that John_Winthrop wants nothing less than to quote me out of context, hence his repeated, almost hypnotic, insistence on the importance of his inhumane antics.

John_Winthrop claims that some people deserve to feel safe while others do not. Predictably, he cites no hard data for that claim. This is because no such data exist. All kidding aside, he has recently been going around claiming that mediocrity and normalcy are ideal virtues. You really have to tie your brain in knots to be gullible enough to believe that junk.

We must reach out for things with permanence, things beyond wealth and comfort and pleasure, things that have real meaning. This call to action begins with you. You must be the first to give the needy a helping hand as opposed to an elbow in the face. You must be the one to provide information and inspiration to as many people as possible. And you must inform your fellow man that I have to wonder where John_Winthrop got the idea that it is my view that anyone who dares to advocate social change through dialogue, passive resistance, and nonviolence can expect to suffer hair loss and tooth decay as a result. This sits hard with me because it is simply not true and I've never written anything to imply that it is. On a lighter note, he sometimes has trouble convincing people that the ancient Egyptians used psychic powers to build the pyramids. When he has such trouble, he usually trots out a few lubricious crackpots to constate authoritatively that John_Winthrop's activities are on the up-and-up. Whether or not that trick of his works, it's still the case that life isn't fair. We've all known this since the beginning of time, so why is John_Winthrop so compelled to complain about situations over which he has no control? Fortunately for us, the key to the answer is obvious: John_Winthrop is typical of despicable hatemongers in his wild invocations to the irrational, the magic, and the fantastic to dramatize his proposed social programs. Our goal must now be to keep our priorities in check. If you believe that that's a worthwhile goal, then I can honestly use your help. Let me hear from you.

I agree with most things in that post.

And from reading the rest of this thread.... I can see that most skipped over my other post explaining facts.

btw : I'm in love with a stripper.

Big bang created the universe. Evolution created man.

YOU ARE A FUCKING IDIOT

The big bang explains how the universe reached its current placement; the big bang theory, and all science, cannot explain the creation of matter. Science works off of observation, and no observation of matter's creation exists.

You might be retarded and say, "WE CAN'T OBSERVE THE BIG BANG THEORY!!!" We observe the expanding universe and chart its major gatherings of mass; therefore, we can scientifically theorize the big bang theory to explain the locations.

ALSO, the proof of macroevolution, albeit none to insignificant, serves no disproof to God. Take as an example the idea of the domino effect. A child can set 5 dominos in a line, declare his intention to knock down the 5th, and strike the first with the declaration later achieved. God can claim to make humans using the materials of earth and create all matter in a way that within billions of years achieves his claim. He still made humans, even if 'nature' seems to make it; nature becomes Gods tools.

Every single nerd on the internet feels like he or she made a stunning breakthrough in religion and philosophy. We all have our own private ideas on the subject, and it should remain that way. Anything anyone says other than, "We can't know either way." makes a logical flaw that everyone will post on, creating a huge thread of "miracle philosophies" and "logical smack downs."

EVERYONE JUST SHUT THE FUCK UP; no one cares about your miraculous conclusions as they have no base.

With every argument you just used about "God" (whichever one it was), you never once sourced your logic and gave about the slipperiest answers I have ever seen.

Ultimate fail.

I never said God exists, you dimwit. I said that you cannot say that, because it's logically wrong due to this possibility.

I'm not a believer in the big bang theory as it has too many holes and based on new scientific evidence black holes if they exist, are largely magnetic bodies because gravity draws the gas into an orbit around the well and magnetism burns off the angular velocity and draws it in. It would also account for the jets of matter we see streaming from "black holes". This is totally off my point though.

In anycase if we wish to disprove Christianity we do not need complicated physics to do so. We need much simpler tools, anthropology, archeology, and human history. if we follow the lineages proposed by the bible we estimate that the existence of this planet and all species is around 6000 years old. 6000 years old is far too young for carbon dating of homo sapien skeletons, and recorded cultures. Even ancient Egypt was known to exist since around 5000 B.C.E which completely in itself contradicts the story of creation thrown around by these Christian monkeys.

So why do people believe in the Christan god? I do not know and personally I don't care. If you want to waste your time praying to that "being" do so but don't throw your religion in my face.

This is my favorite kind of person I see in these stupid argument threads. He disproves Christianity only and feels that justifies his beliefs of total atheism.

I never said what religion I belonged to. Thank you sir, enjoy your drive through.

You're a fucking idiot for writing all that shit (which i didnt read) because of what i said, which i thought most would just giggle at it a little and move on.

This whole thread is really kinda pointless. Im sure somebody already said but you cant disprove or prove the existence of god because its based on faith blah blah blah. People have been having these arguments for thousands of years and what have they concluded? Nothing.

Personally i think religion is bullshit. If something can cause human beings to start wars and kill millions of people then its pretty stupid. And i mean throughout history all the wars and deaths etc that have been because of religion. If there was a god he's probably feeling pretty shitty after 10000000000000000000 people (or whatever) have died in his name.

It's also possible that there are gay unicorns living in the center of the sun but you can't prove it right or wrong either.

Everyone, shut the fuck up.

Religion can't prove whether or not god exists..

And science disproves itself because it uses the theory of "nothing can be created from nothing"

I win thread, now gtfo.

Only time will tell.
