January 10, 200817 yr Countless squrriels, deer, birds of all variety's, opossums, porcupines, tried to kill a weasel with my sling shot but it was to quick. One time I was bow hunting and a deer walked in so I pulled my bow back and it was getting kind of dark so I probably shouldn't have shot but it was like my last day out so I thought I could see well enough. So anyways I put the site on em and let the arrow go and it made a loud thwack and deer fell right over. Then they deer just laid there looking around and I was like, oh shit. So I put another arrow in my bow and pulled it back and but it on its chest and let it go and nailed him right in the top of the chest. Then the deer flipped out and started trying to crawl away, and I was like, oh ya you want another one? So I got my last arrow out and shot em again with it, then it just laid there and I could hear him breathing harder and harder then he stopped all together and started shacking his head then he stopped moving forever. Thats how I got my first deer with a bow.

And ya killing a random deer with a .22 seems a bit unrealistic, not that you cant kill a deer with a .22 but I mean the deer has to be close enough to where you can pop it in the head other wise it would run forever and you wouldn't be telling us you killed it.

You can kill a deer with a .22LR. You have to shoot them in the head and be withing at least 50 yards to have a realistic chance. Some states though don't allow you to hunt below a .223 caliber rifle.
