Posted January 16, 200817 yr So I was at the hospital on Monday, in the ER waiting room for a few hours. Like any hospital waiting room, you have a wide variety of people from all walks of life, so it can be a pretty entertaining place, if you listen to other peoples conversations. One person stood out from the rest and I could tell I wasn't the only one being amussed by him. He speant the time there with the newspaper want ads and his cell phone, making calls looking for a job. Now mind you, I can only hear one side to the calls, which is him. I will refer to him as "Fatass", since he was just that. One of the calls went like this: Fatass: Hello, I'm call about the job in the paper for the secuity guard postition. Fatass: Yes, I do have some questions. It says here that you need to pass a background check for the position. Fatass: Does that mean you cannot have any felonies? Fatass: What if though I have a felony but it doesn't show up on my record? Fatass: Well, here is why I say that, because I got this apartment right and they did a background check before they let me get it and I was able to get it. My name is on the lease and everything, so I guess my felony doesn't show up then. Fatass: Listen though, I was able to get this apartment even with the felony when they did a background check. Fatass: What was my felony for? Fatass: Well, it was for transporting drugs, but that was a long time ago and I don't have anything on my record since. Fatass: It was back in 2002, which is a long time ago and like I said, I don't have anything on my record since. Fatass: Well, can you please explain why you wouldn't be able to hire me, because like I said, my felony was a long time ago and it didnt stop me from getting my apartment and... Fatass: Hello? You still there? At this point I noticed the look on his wifes face that was sitting with him, which was the look of "how did I end up with this loser?". There were many other calls he made, but none as funny.
January 16, 200817 yr i lol'd Once when i was on work experience at a lawyer's firm, i sat on an interview with this guy who didn't know whether he had any convictions. When he asked his past criminal record he said that when he was 11 he got into trouble for throwing firecrackers at a boat or something. He had to explain to him that shit like that doesn't go on your record. Some people are so dumb.

January 17, 200817 yr rifk, hospitals are a great meeting place for retards, I've heard some ridiculous conversations in hospital waiting rooms and this is definitely in line with the jackassery that I've experienced. I want to see some more OMP Stories, especially like the ones that are on the front page!

Like a security job is probably going to want life long records. Also like here in my county, when you request crinimal records which you can get online even, they are life long, no 10yr limit like if you pulled them from the DMV. Just depends on how its done really.

January 18, 200817 yr lol...nice story. no doubt the ER is filled with rifk. one time I was at the ER for braking a rib on the job and there was this chick that was bound by straps in a wheel chair screaming her head off and totally intoxicated, telling the police to fuck off and die for 30 minutes while blood was dripping from her forehead. wish I had a cam corder. it was epic.
