Said planning involves me asking my IRL friends (yeah, I know!) to attend the aforementioned party. As it's my 18th, much drinking will ensue, so most people said they will bring alcohol and get wasted with me. However, one person in particular said something that irritates me time and time again. The conversation went thus: Me: "So you wanna come to my party and get completely wasted?" Her: "I'll come but probably not get drunk, I'll just look after everyone." The red mist decended. This annoyed me. The idea of having no parents in the vicinity while the party occurs is that everybody gets horrifically and helplessly drunk, so the idea of a party guest not drinking and looking after us all defeats the object of parents not being there. Duh.
