Haven't seen this before. Made me laugh.

It all really depends on what you want to do with it. Each console has its advantages and disadvantages. If you're an avid online gamer, then the 360 is the way to go. It offers the graphics and capabilities to be solid for the exact reason you're buying it for, to play some vids. Most of the issues the 360 has are usually covered by the optional warranty (which is about 40 bucks, and shouldn't be optional) and consoles produced after October 2007 have a MUCH less chance of frying themselves. For a short answer, the 360 is better. Reasons being: Price, performance, visual quality, game selection, and online support/gameplay...

Price: 360 obviously has the edge, even with recent price drops to both consoles.

Performance: On paper, ps3 seems to have the advantage. However, in reality the three general purpose CPU's in a 360 are FAR easier to take advantage of than the SPU's on a ps3 and gives the 360 the nod. Later on down the road (year or two) the ps3 may come out with some exclusive games that fully take advantage of the SPU's that will blow the 360 out of the water. (This is the reason why they still come out with ps2 games at the moment. When you compare some recent ps2 games to launch titles, the graphics and performance are extremely noticeable, because they have just finally been able to max the ps2 out.) So in the long run, PS3 will EVENTUALLY be better, but the XBOX 1080 might be out by that time Wink

Graphics: Despite what everyone says, the 360 wins. It's GPU is much more powerful. Higher fillrate, higher pixel processing power, higher vertex processing power, and better memory architecture. If you look at multiplatform games and contrast the graphics on the two consoles, XBOX 360 almost always leads. Whether they use a higher resolution or higher quality antialiasing, games often look better and/or play smoother on the 360. The PS3's system has no choice but to run non-HD resolutions because of the way it's built.. if it did it would be ridiculously expensive for Sony.

Game Selection: The 360 was released so much earlier. Almost all multi-platform developers have made the XBOX 360 their primary platform due to timing of release-to-market, this means the games will look and perform better on the 360. The PS3 versions will be ports of the 360 versions. It's obvious now that the 360 already has a very impressive line up of titles, not so much with the ps3. A lot of games that are currently coming to the ps3 are already discontinued on the 360 because of timing. Another example, Orange Box which was second in Sales to Halo 3 in October is no where to be seen on PS3, because it is such a tricky system, and apparently early Orange Box tests have been choppy as shit. As for Top 10 Exclusive PS3 games... their aren't even ten to make a list with. 360 has 4 OVERALL game of the year contenders for 2007, while PS3 has none.

Live: 360. This doesn't really need to be discussed because xboxLive is phenomenal and PSN doesn't even compare to it. Everything from gamerprofiles, personal messaging, and overall sweetness are to the max here. The only pro PS3 is that it's free, and Live costs 50 bucks for a year. (Play some more vids instead of chewing so much to save the extra coin)

HD Content: The PS3 comes stocked with a Blu-Ray player built in, while you can buy the HD-DVD player for about $200 as an add-on to the 360. If you don't care about this, you probably will in the future as the difference between movies with the right T.V. is ridiculous. Just go to your closest Best Buy and watch Pirates of the Caribbean on one of their HD TV's. Lot's of speculation with this junk... the biggest being that HD-DVD's are going to take over and Blu-Ray will become pretty much obsolete as lot's of production companies have chosen HD-DVD over Blu-Ray. I believe only Time/Warner has signed to solely distribute Blu-Ray. PS3 is designed to be the all-in-one multimedia power house, and it does that. It's quite, looks sleek, and gives you that almost "classy and professional" feel. Apparently one downside is that an XBOX is somewhat loud when watching movies on it? I wouldn't know because I just use my DVD player.

As for the games...

At the moment the 360 has Call of Duty 4, Halo 3, Bioshock, Mass Effect, Assassin's Creed, Virtua Fighter..

PS3 has Ninja Gaiden(hard as fuck) and Unreal Tournament.. along with COD4 and Assassins, both of which are better on 360 for reasons noted above.

COMING to the systems are..

Turok, Resident Evil 5, Saboteur (Sweet game where you sneak around German Occupied France during WWII and dismantle the Nazi's), Devil May Cry 4, Soul Calibur IV, Ninja Gaiden II (First one was amazingly hard, apparently they made this one somewhat easier), Saints Row 2, Unreal Tournament 3, Grand Theft Auto IV.

PS3 Titles include.. Metal Gear Online, Gran Turismo 5, Infamous (Become a Superhero by building up your power and then be good or evil.. inspired by Ben Parker's "With Great Power Comes Great _________"), LittleBigPlanet, and finally the big boys including Final Fantasy XIII, Tekken 6, Killzone 2, and the Hiroshima of Sony Vids, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (Going to be bad ass).

So PS3 is kind of catching up but XBOX has already launched a majority of their big deal games.. Halo 3 holds the record and grossed $170 million in its first 24 hours and $300 million in its first week.

AND as for the Wii... it's just supposed to be fucking fun. That's what Nintendo is about.. they don't care about graphics or any of that shit. I still play my OLD original NES. Plus, Mario Kart Wii and Super Smash Bro's Brawl are coming out, making the Wii a good investment. Brawl is going to be fucking crazy, and if you've never played Smash Bro's, check it out. It looks gay but it's addicting and fun like you wouldn't believe.

I own the Wii and the 360, and I don't even care to want a PS3. All I do is play Call of Duty 4, Halo 3, or Assassin's Creed on the 360 when I'm not at the rink or at school/doing homework. Then I put the Wii on the TV in my room and usually play it before I go to sleep. I realize this post is long as fuck, but I'm sure it's interesting to some people and I wrote it because I'm bored, which is probably the reason why half of you are reading it anyways.
