Im happy with DVD.

The players cost as little $40 and the picture quality is excellent.

Needless to say, studios will start releasing there movies only on blu-ray and then I will be forced to part with my hard earned cash.

Yes, most HD streams (H264/VC-1/MPEG-2) are stored in the avi container.

Sucks that Blu Ray won considering that the PS3 is the cheapest player you can get and its 400+ bucks. Also the fact that the dvd's are 20+ dollars. Ill just wait until they come out with the next big thing that knocks all the prices down.

lol paying for dvds hahahahhahaha

you need torrent :sly:

i support HD, but its clear that everyone has decided on blue ray. all the companies are backing out of HD and switching to blue ray. so there you go, blue ray next generation.

Well yeah, torrents rules. I just did an inventory on all my burned movies and i have 528 burned and another 400+ store bought. Some movies i love to much to torrent them.

True, however most newer HD Codecs do not support the AVI Container. They seem to be more efficient in the 3GP Format File.
