Posted February 20, 200817 yr Anyone ever buy stuff thats been refurbished? Im looking for a new Dvd player with the surround sound and found one but its refurbished. I have never bought anything refurbished before so wondering if anyone ever has. Good or bad experiences?

February 20, 200817 yr Captain Morgan depending on where it's coming from you should be ok. Most places will replace all electronics when an item is resold. Apple for example sells refurbished product...they basically take the shell and replace everything inside of it. Thus how I was able to buy a Mac Book Pro which would have costed me about $4,000 for only $2,300. And yeah I just bought the extended warranty for like $50 more...so if it breaks I can send it back and they will send a brand new unit to me. REFURBISHED FTW!
February 20, 200817 yr Its like buying stuff from a garage sale or finding it on the sidewalk. Worst idea ever. Warranty is 1/10th what it was before and will die right after it expires.
