Yeah, I know myg0t isn't my fucking doctor.

But for over 3 months now I've been having a really hard time falling asleep, whenever I close my eyes I just cant clear my head of random, fucking ridiculous, pointless thoughts. That's what it's been for a while now, no big deal because i still slept fine at least 6 days out of a week, however I haven't slept since Thursday. I go to bed every night, and give up after 2 hours of not being able to fall asleep, I haven't been able to do anything in highschool because of this, i just go to every class and practically sit there like I'm inafucking coma. I haven't told anyone because im kind of worried i do have it, and I don't think theres much anyone can do, sorry for rambling with lack of structure, but have some understanding, how do you feel after not sleeping for 3 days?

Does anyone think it's insomnia, i can't think of anything else thats changed the last 3 months, or in the last week, if so anyone else here suffer from it? or just any advice in general? btw- Melatonin doesn't help, it just makes me more tired for a good 5 hours, and i dont have ADD or any shit like that

It's usually stress bro, find out the source of your stress and problem solved. Also-finding a girlfriend to fuck your brains out daily helps.

Actually every time I have a girlfriend my mind wanders so much and its incredibly hard to sleep. I usually listen to music really loudly on my ipod and slowly turn the volume down until it becomes white noise and then I can easily fall asleep. But I always wake up with the cord wrapped around me in some retarded way but the sleep is worth it.

I notice this too, but i havnt had a girlfriend for a while, and just recently( yesterday so that wouldnt be it) started seeing somone else

dam i know what you mean i have the same problem, i usually tire myself out during the day (stop by the gym, go out for a walk etc etc)

the most a doctor will do is give u sleep aids

i cant, im so tired, i somtimes just sitdown, and forget everything, and kind of snap out of it with my eyes still open wondering how long i was there

Yeah after a long day I'll suddenly jump awake in my computer chair randomly after not even remembering falling asleep. Its fucking bad

Music helps. Avoid caffeine after 12pm.

Actually I do both of those and it doesn't help much at all. I've been laying awake for at least an hour before I fall asleep every night for a year and a half. I'm probably just going to set up a doctor's appt and get some ambien. Plus you can trip on that if you stay awake. Fun times.

Smoke some dank an hour or two before you wanna sleep

Happened to me over last summer break

i basically slept for the first 2 months and did nothing else and then on the last month of break i was awake for a week..so basically..maybe your getting TOO MUCH sleep, because too much sleep makes you tired too

when I can't sleep I think of ways to kill a person as well as disposing of the body without getting caught. Usually works for me.

I think if you learn to focus on one thing and then work out the details of it...your mind is focused on one thing and you fall asleep that way.

Sig of the month to you, Malum.

But back on topic.. yeah. I had this problem all summer. I got rid of it by staying up over 24 hours and finally taking some sleeping pills(equate liquid caps from walmart, $1.99) at around 9-10PM after I was awake for over a day. This got me back on track but us humans are all different. All i can suggest is try to stay up as long as you can just so you can fall asleep at a normal time. Btween 8-12pm would be ideal. Then once you wake up in the normal AM hours make yourself a nice breakfast and drink some coffee. Continue doing this until it becomes normal. Thats what I did now I no longer have that problem. Although it may be harder for you to accomplish this since youre in highschool

MBT is raged by his own thoughts, now THAT is ownage.
whenever im stressed before bed I just take 3-4 hits out of my bubbler.

Stop smoking pot.

Go out and exercise.

GET BUSY.

I often find it hard to get to sleep as well, I find that drinking a few cans of beer to subdue myself a bit works but I'm just ghetto

exercise and drink milk bitch

smoke some weed, doctors use it here to help patients that have insomia

lol, thanks guys. but that's 4 nights now. Now I'm worried that, how long can one go without sleep before they die? :|

You won't die, its simply caused by over thinking of things, and the thought and worry of wanting to go to sleep is the very reason you can't sleep, and your body would definately automatically shut down to sleep before it was possible to die from exhaustion, its not like your on some serious drugs that keep you from sleeping, simply over thinking things.

You can die from not sleeping actually. But you have to stay completely awake for 10-12 days for it to happen.
