Why don't you just replace the bulb?

EDIT: I have that Mitsubishi TV in 57". The original bulb burnt out kind of quickly, but it was covered by the warranty. Other than that I love it. Zero problems, excellent picture quality, ect. I recommend it.

I was thinking about it but the bulbs are over 100$ and to have someone put it in would be another 100$ (i would do it but i would just fuck something up) plus all the reviews for that tv were all bad. I read quite a few and didnt find one good thing said about it. Plus its 5 years old and time for a new one.

If you know your law and are willing to write threatening letters, u can get any faulty item returned or refunded within 365 days. Well in England at least. Trust me, i've done it so many times.

My friend has a plasma, and it fucking blows.

It has degenerated to to where there is a huge red radial gradient originating from the center of the screen.

A quick photoshop job shows what I am talking about.
