Posted March 16, 200817 yr hello myg0t, here is my situation. i have no education as i dropped out of school after stabbing someone. no joke. i am pretty smart, i dropped out of school at 13 and over the last 3 years have receved fucking fuck all education, yet i could still discuss quarks their flavours, spins and charge. both of my grandads are doctors. you can take the piss of my youth and fuck ups in my life and show your immature personality if you wish. I need a job... the issue is that i dont want to work in a fucking doll factory earning £3.30 an hour. The army seems like a suitable job. they take people like me in, train them, give them civilain qualifications aswell as basic training, then they as you what you want to do... eg. sniper, IT tech, etc. no doubt i will be shipped to fucking africa (The main reason i dont want to join... quite frankly operation BARRAS was a mess and the fucking AIDS lassa ebola denge malaria etc is just grotesque) but if i get sent to iraq thats fine, shit, i dont mind shooting people for no reason other than bordom and money. anyway the pay is good, you get £16,100 a year... that may seem shit.... until you realise that A) the money doesnt go on your keep (food water etc the army pays for you to be alive), its just raw luxury cash. B) you will have no possible way to spend all of that. result: when you leave you have tonnes of cash in your back pocket and a gob load of qualifications. ???? PROFIT. pros: money cons: getting shot at, getting killed, getting dead.

Maybe it's different for the Army, but when my friend signed up for the Marines, they wouldn't let him join until he got his G.E.D. So I was assuming it would be the same for the Army, I suppose not.

Well in my country you need passes in year 12 Maths and English to get into the Army.

In my opinion, serving ones country through Military service is the best way to pay back all that you have taken/been given from the community. Those who have served before you are the reason you enjoy the quality of life that you do. The only people who's opinions you should bother listening to, are the people that had the balls to sign up.
